Sounds promising but I wouldn't consider it over.  Forward that email to the roboclaim solicitors who sent the LBC and tell them to confirm the case is cancelled..
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Reading back, you do not ever tell us that you received a N1 claim form from CCBC, is this correct? I know we checked with you early on that the V5C had your correct address on it and the LBC reached you so it is strange that you don't report receiving a N1 form.  If you contact CCBC at Northampton, ask them when and where they sent the N1 form.

You have to turn on notifications in your profile.  BUT do come back every day, regulars are quite quick in replying.

The N1 is an official claim form from the Northampton business centre that deal with claims for ...... well, er claimants and sends them to defendants.  Whilst it can (reportedly) take some time to get through on the phone, might be worth it (on Monday morning) rather then waiting for someone to action your e-mail.

    thanks, ill try calling tomorrow.
I guess them not contacting me properly isnt enough to get the ccj set aside? Id still need to go to court with what ive got (the instruction to cancel, with no confirmation from them that it was- kicking myself for assuming it was done)

If you did not receive a N1 claim form and your address that the PPC had is/was current, you have good reason for a set-aside on mandatory grounds as the claim was not sent to you properly, i.e. defective service.  Check CPR (Civil Procedure Rules) for set-aside and effective service and also look at some forum posts about set-asides - there are quite a few, especially one by @Jack5656

The address is definitely current (thanks to sterling advice on here -from yourself- I made sure to write it in the sar, and the letter of claim was sent here as well).

My first comcern is whether or not to pay what they ask, then attempt to recoup it plus fees- I will need to remortgage well within the lifetime of the ccj 😥
Lots of reading to do, working my way through
