VCS Liverpool Airport no stopping

Hi, I have a VCS no stopping ongoing case with LJLA.
The original 'offence' was in 2017 and we followed advice here and it all went quiet. we assumed it had been discontinued until in mid last year we got the threatening bailiff letters. we have followed the advice here and now have a letter from our local court asking us to take mediation?
The car is registered in my wife's' name but she wasn't driving, we cannot in all honesty establish who was driving, possibly me or my now deceased father, my son travelled regularly and whoever was available would drop him at the airport.
Should I accept the offer of mediation or hold out for a hearing? if so what should my steps now be?
We did send a SAR and letter to VCS (at the time I wasn't aware we could use email) via signed for recorded delivery using a template off here adapted to our particular case. I also asked for the location of the camera as the times I have been there I have noticed a vehicle parked on a roundabout blocking access to a crash gate, access to these cannot be blocked or restricted at any time. In my trips to this AIRPORT I have not noticed red lines or seen any signs relating to no stopping while approaching the car park or drop off areas. My son has said that the lines are invisible unless you walk on the road. Given also that the alleged breach took place at around 5.30/6am in September when the light was far from ideal I expect they were invisible!
The amount of stress and harassment this company has caused my wife and I is disgraceful so my gut instinct is to take them the whole way and fight to the end but the fear of a CCJ is real which I guess is what they prey upon and how they manage to extort money from people.
Any help at all would be really appreciated as while we are far from stupid we have no idea what to do re a court case.

You say "ongoing" is this then a live court claim? Have you submitted a defence and received a DQ (N180 form)? The other side (claimant) always tries to make defendants go for mediation but it is a waste of time for you. Have you received a notice of allocation to a court for a hearing?1

Hi,
Yes we have today got a letter from the local County Court (Bradford) saying that a judge thinks the case is suitable for mediation but also stating that the case will be heard remotely on 10/3.
We did submit a defence using one of the templates from another thread.0 -
Ask VCS, as it's their responsibility under their contract to maintain the red lines, why they have failed to maintain them so they could trap you. Ask them for ALL docs showing their seeking of permission for the lines and docs showing permission granted. Tell them the lines are not compliant with statutory regs, but you need to see evidence of their installation before any court case. Ask the same of LJLA.1

Write to customerservices@liverpoolairport.com and complain vociferously about VCS. Tell LJLA the land is not private, the red lines are illegal and that VCS have breached the airport's own parking Ts and Cs. Tell LJLA that VCS may have, in demading payment on land that isn't theirs, breached Sec 2 Chapter 35 of the Fraud Act 2006 - obtaining a financial advantage by false representation. Tell LJLA your local MP is ready to intervene should they not engage on this serious issue. Then report VCS to www.actionfraud.police.1

I have no idea how these cases are going to court. They shouldn't be getting beyond a NTK, what with stating private land and images that are utterly inconclusive.1

So I need to contact both VCS and LJLA and request the above which I will do. I will also email my MP and give notice that i intend to let VCS and LJLA that he has been informed?0

I have just been speaking to my son re this and have shown him the photo (rear view of the car) which shows him getting out of the passenger door. He cannot remember for sure who dropped him off but as he only had hand luggage it was most likely my now deceased dad, the car was stationary for less than 10 seconds with no other traffic apart from the VCS camera car blocking the crash gate.0

The hearing letter tells you the deadline for WS and evidence.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
