@getmore4less is referring to the 4 bed house on the same road that the OP mentioned - not the bungalow he offered on which was originally 475 and is now 500Slinky said:getmore4less said:Pretty easy to find...... I think, if it is right

Hi all,
An update:
The property in question was on Rightmove for 2 weeks then disappeared without going SSTC.
We returned from the US a few weeks ago and learnt from the EA, whilst doing another property viewing, that the vendor had a few viewings but no full ask offers and the potential buyers were not chain free. The vendors decided they couldn’t handle the ‘stress’ and took the property off the market…
The market, it seems, where we are is not as crazy as it was last year. There is a still a detached house and bungalow on the same street for sale, one since last year with multiple reductions and the other from Feb, which are not sold.
We had an offer accepted on a property that was 8% below the asking price. We are trying not to get too excited or emotionally invested in this property after the experience we had with the last one.
Overall we are much happier with the property we have had the offer accepted on and very glad we did not waste anymore of our time with those vendors.18 -
Well done, people are such greedy idiots, you saved yourself from a world of hurt buying that overpriced house !0

@BV88 glad to hear that you have found somewhere else that will be better for you - I suspect the previous vendors were never going to be easy to deal with, can see they will probably stay there long term now, doubt they really wanted to move near family and it maybe that all the family wanted was the profit from the sale.
Good Luck and hope all goes well0
