SmartSave, Beehive and now Streambank all pulling their top 3 position 1 Year Fixes .... that's made for a quick change to the top 3 ..... unfortunately the rates seem to be generally heading in the wrong direction!Compiler of the RS League Table.
Being nosey... How many Regular Saver accounts do you have? — MoneySavingExpert Forum1 -
I've got a SmartSave maturing at 4.30% at the end of the month. Best from them is 5.99% and will probably fall before it's time for moving my money.Bobblehat said:SmartSave, Beehive and now Streambank all pulling their top 3 position 1 Year Fixes .... that's made for a quick change to the top 3 ..... unfortunately the rates seem to be generally heading in the wrong direction!

Charter pulled all of their fixed term ISAs , shame since I was going to reinvest some of a maturing bond with them in one.
I hope they come back with one in the next month or so.0 -
So, an interesting thing happened to me the other day. I ordered a paper statement from Vanquis for a fixed-rate account I opened a couple of months ago.
When the statement arrived it was branded "Recognise Bank". I got in touch with Vanquis and they said that Vanquis and Recognise "share a building" and that an "administrative error" occurred (essentially, someone printed my statement on Recognise-branded paper instead of Vanquis-branded paper).
Wondering if this is something worth formally complaining about to the FCA (on grounds of data breach)?0 -
FCA have nothing to do with Data breaches - ICO is where you could go. BUt in essesnce it will not be treated as a data breach. Simply make a complaint with Vanquis, who will then investigate and likely chuck you some money. They are both on the Newcastle platform so likely it was just a printing error, as you say it is your statement. If they had sent you someone elses - that is a different story.Mr._H_2 said:So, an interesting thing happened to me the other day. Thanks. Not really interested in getting money out of it. Just thinking that maybe there should be better ring-fencing around the two companies? Is it really OK that staff essentially have access to details from both banks? As you say, if I'd been sent someone else's statement that would be a whole lot worse.FindingBBob said:

In what way is it a data breach if you've just had a statement printed on the other bank's paper though? Essentially all that's happened is a batch of Recognise Bank branded paper has accidentally gone to the other bank's floor, and someone at Vanquis has just loaded their printer with the wrong paper when sending you your statement.Mr._H_2 said:

Totally unprofessional, I would be making this known to the CEO. Then again I wouldn't be dealing with either of those organisations in the first place.Mr._H_2 said:So, an interesting thing happened to me the other day.
