Thanks for that @bristolleedsfan - I'd downloaded the 'T&C of our relationship' and 'Account Information Summary' and it's not mentioned in either of those, so didn't get as far as the 'Managing your account' document - I'd given up by then.

To me, it becomes a bit of a deal breaker when you have to dig so much to find information that's important to you - other people will have different criteria of course.  It's perhaps even worse when the information differs between places it's mentioned, like a conversation here a few days ago on funding windows.

Looks like Oxbury are out of the fixed term accounts game, can’t see their one or two year fixes anymore

Ford Money have changed theirs too - I just came here to post that and forgot - they only now have 1 and 2 years, both at 5.30%  AER and 5.18% monthly - I think that's a 0.1-ish% increase from yesterday, but they've dropped the 3 year.

Has anyone used Close Brothers. I am thinking of opening 1yr fix with them 5.85% and wondered how people have found them to use. I was going to do Oxbury Bank but they have dropped off the list today.

Funnily enough I was about to invest with Close Bros and have been looking for reviews. Their account opening process was almost too easy and having seen the reviews on Trustpilot I will give them a miss. I have just used Investec whose reviews are much better and rates are almost as good.

I've used them before with no issues, but it was through Hargreaves Lansdown Active Savings.

Just opened the Close Brothers 1yr bond. Just in case it helps someone else it says “We make every effort to apply funds to your account on the day they are received , but it can take up to 2 working days” I absolutely hate it if funds do not reach my account same day and possibly 2 days is not acceptable for me, I like to see my money has got where I have sent it. Just wasted 10 minutes.

Yes, I've used Close Brothers and have had no problems with them. The sign-up process seemed easy enough and I can't imagine why anyone should worry about the stability of such an old established bank.
