So, just opened the Vanquis 1 year fixed bond, but for some reason my nominated account could not be verified... No idea why as been with same bank for 10 years & in same house for almost 20!
Do you actually have to post a statement or can you just email it to them. Seems a very dated & slow way of verifying my nominated account.0 -

Interesting the choice made by Zopa to stay completely out of the race for now, they are stuck at around 4% with their fixes. Any thought? I0

OakNorth say the following."Fixed Term Deposit Accounts funded by online bank transfer will be credited to your Account, and interest will begin accruing no later than one business day from when we receive yourfunds."
If I paid in money today would it not earn any interest until Tuesday 2nd May?
I paid in £1 to open the account on Wednesday and that was showing in OakNorth within seconds.1 -

I rang them but still insisted I had to post them a statement from my nominated account. Very old fashioned!
Don't have a printer so gonna just hang tight for similar rates which pay monthly interest without the hassle of posting them stuff.
