This is what I would call a bloody stupid cat and mouse game.
Shawbrook got my money @ 4.70% for 1 year my gut instincts telling me more rates rises to come, fortunately (for me) they only got me for 25K. So more money to be invested with them in a new bond if they increase the savings rates further.

Why is it with Charter, whenever you take out a new bond on the same evening they launch the new rate, the rates on the fact sheet confirmation always show the previous rate...ie you have to call them to state you took out a new bond AFTER 5pm so they can manually change it!!!!
So many people must get caught out with this and not bother checking.
Think I might just take out another 2 year bond in the morning, as the wrong rate one taken out this evening, will just expire if not funded anyway.0 -
Kent Reliance increases (though not particularly exciting!):
1 Year - 4.65%
2 Year - 4.69%

3 year is great if anyone is after a long fix. You can choose monthly interest to an external account if that suits with vanquis.The_Green_Hornet said:Vanquis have increased their rates:

Do Vanquis pay the monthly interest on the day account is opened or the day the first deposit is received?
How long is their funding window?0 -
Funding window is 30 days from opening the account. I 'think' interest paid monthly on initial deposit, but not 100%.SickGroove said:Do Vanquis pay the monthly interest on the day account is opened or the day the first deposit is received?
