Just to say, I've got a number of accounts with DF and to date never had any issues.Middle_of_the_Road said:
Not heard of DF before, will have a look.cloud_dog said:
Thought I would comment that DF Capital have a 3 year FR bond (Issue 3) available at 4.56% APR.intalex said:
Not much competitiveness lately on the 2+ year terms, and even where we see change, it's been tiny...pecunianonolet said:It does tell me that banks expect interest rates to remain higher for longer than anticipated some time ago when we had a rather ovious invereted yield curve.
Saw this though, as I have their 1 year bond. H.T.B. 2 year bond 4.53%
Fixed Rate Savings Accounts | Hampshire Trust Bank (HTB)I choose the rooms that I live in with care,
The windows are small and the walls almost bare,
There's only one bed and there's only one prayer;
I listen all night for your step on the stair.2 -

On the monthly interest paying fixed rate options, Hodge just edged up on their rates... e.g. 5y @ 4.46% Gross / 4.55% AER...2

Just checking before I go ahead and open one. Is the SmartSave account the best paying rate for 1 year fixed at 4.52% ? - I see that there is Al Rayan but that is almost identical at 4.53% and I already have funds with them.0

I believe so, but don't forget that interest is paid at maturity only, so if you need monthly options, you may have to look elsewhere - though luckily there are a lot of choice around the 4.5% mark now.BigBlueSky said:Just checking before I go ahead and open one. I would stick with Al Rayan.0 -
United Trust have reduced all their fixed rates this week. I opened a 5 year fixed last week at 4.65% and now it is 4.55% - i was dilly dallying for so long trying to decide whether i wanted to lock up the cash for 5 years - but so glad i took the plunge before the rate dropped.1

I’m with you there gizz_10 , did a fixed with atom a couple of weeks ago for 5 years. Yes it’s a gamble and 1st 5 yr deal I’ve ever done but hoping it will pay off.1

Did the same with Atom few weeks ago... have another chunk maturing in 2 weeks time so have already opened another 5 year one with another provider that has a 28 day deposit window to 'reserve' the rate as an option in case rates fall...its a punt with a small part of my overall portfolio, but having endured years of low rates I'm happy to have the certainty to build an overall income streamgizz_10 said:United Trust have reduced all their fixed rates this week. Oxbury emailed me about re-investing my funds, maturing next month, offered 4.62% on a 2 year fixed term, which is higher than the normal rate they offer, 4.56%, I assume the difference is due to a small loyalty bonus.4
