    Yes, this is an Octopus problem. IHDs/CADs and Apps access the data from your meters. For this to be correct, the supplier has to update tariff information in the ESME and GSME (the meters) as and when tariffs change.

    Email smart@octopus.energy and ask them to send out an update.

    Yes, with any of the smart meters, the supplier is responsible for updating the tariff on the meter, Bright or n3rgy can only read what is on the meter.

    Do I have to run the display unit to get the system to update?
    It's been in a drawer for six months

    It's been in a drawer for six months 
    The IHD is nothing more than a remote reader. It connects to a secure wifi network established by your communications hub. The IHD will only ‘see’ the tariff information that has been sent to your meters by the supplier via the DCC Network.

    I also use an App titled OCTOPUS WATCH which retrieves data and tariff information from my Octopus Account via an API: that is, it has nothing to do with your meters. It shows my daily costs for electricity.

    The Bright app will not get a tariff update unless your meter receives an update from Octopus, it is a problem to resolve with Octopus, not Bright...

    I have emailed Octopus who tell me that they've updated the tariffs but this hasn't affected Bright (it's still showing incorrect figures) I was just wondering whether anyone else has the same problem?
