Hello, "Newbie here"
Read through many post on the threads but would kindly appreciate some help from the Information I give here for my individual case, (although i'm sure you will see mine as no different to any others) If I provide the specifics, I would be grateful for some words of advise.
Specifics are...
CCBC Claim form issue date 07/01/2022 on behalf of DCB legal, Runcorn. This is for a PCN issued on 06/03/2017 - which I may add I do not even recall receiving!
Read newbies and completed Acknowledgement of service 17/01/2022
Up until today 03/02/2022 I have been unable to give the matter my undivided attention - but this is my one and only mission TODAY assuming of course someone confirms I haven't missed the boat to complete.
Let's start there, confirmation I still have time to fight this please?
Thanks in advance!

...completed Acknowledgement of service 17/01/2022With a Claim Issue Date of 7th January, and having filed an Acknowledgment of Service in a timely manner, you have until 4pm on Wednesday 9th February 2022 to file your Defence.
Still nearly a week to go. Plenty of time to produce a Defence, but please don't leave it to the last minute. To create a Defence, and then file a Defence by email, look at the second post in the NEWBIES thread.Don't miss the deadline for filing a Defence.
Do not try and file a Defence via the MoneyClaimOnline website. Once an Acknowledgment of Service has been filed, the MCOL website should be treated as 'read only'.2 -
That’s great, thanks for that info. I can breathe now. However. I shall modify the template with my case info and send that email promptly.1

You might want to show us your paragraphs 2 & 3 for critique and assistance before you send your defence by e-mail.3

@Le_Kirk and @KeithP,
In your opinion, Would I be better to say that:
1) The first I heard of this PCN was when the claim form was received.
or say
2) I recall receiving debt recovery letters several months after the PCN issue date, of which I did not feel these threatening unprofessional letters were genuine.
The Truth is... I recall receiving some letters (about other PCN's also) but handed to someone else to clarify whether to take action or not. I clearly see now I was ill-advised! Or more like I was too naive.
This forum has been such an eye opener and learning curve.
Thanks in advance, I welcome your response.1 -
Are either of your points a defence? They certainly set the scene for the judge but how can they be defence points as it was well after you parked there. Just use whichever one is true but you will need to refute whatever the claimant claims in the POC.2

Neither if those points are relevant to a defence.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

That was just my starting point.
I have put the following to #2, which i'm not sure if some of it would be better moving to #3 anyway.
You tell me... Its my first time, am I forming my defence with these words or digging holes. The facts as known to the Defendant:
2. It is admitted that the Defendant was the registered keeper of the vehicle in question but liability is denied. The defendant confirms that the vehicle registered to be entering the site (Moto Lymm Services) was in fact driven by numerous individuals at the time of the PCN being issued on 06/03/2017. Unfortunately no longer can the identification be obtained to confirm the driver at that time. The defendant would like to clarify that at no point have they ever visited the site of the offence in this particular vehicle.

That sounds like more than one person was swapping and changing into the driver's seat as the car approached MOTO.

I see your point on that. It does sound like we was playing musical chairs whilst entering the services. Leave the point but reword maybe?1
