Well done on getting over the £1K and for bringing in new income.

Hope your DS gets his Op soon sounds like a tough situation - hard enough waiting as an adult but as a kid - and watching as an adult strikes me as worse.

There are days - when even I struggle to keep up with my own diary LOL. Just dip in and out and don't worry....

I finally got to a bank today to pay in the money from selling the furniture last week. I used some cash for groceries (£7), left £10 in my purse and paid in £100. £80 has been sent to the mortgage bringing it down to £78,700 exactly and the remaining £20 has gone towards topping the diesel pot up on YNAB. The £35 TCB payment also reached the bank account today too. :)

It’s been a funny old day today, I had a real feeling of needing to go stand on a hill and scream or something - frustration, tension and anxiety about a few situations building up to a pressure point. I took myself off alone (whilst DS was with his Dad) for a really freezing, blustery walk alone along a coastal path instead to blow some cobwebs away and then had a hot shower afterwards. I’m feeling a bit calmer now, or rather more accepting of things I can’t change.

The monthly set overpayment of £83.49 (to round the mortgage up to £500pm) has been sent over. Nearly at the £5k mark for total overpayments so far. :)

    Thank you Chrystal and Savingholmes.
The exercise definitely helped me and I need to do more of it. I am fortunate enough today to be in a place where I have been able to have a rare treat - a swim and sauna. I am a real water baby and this has just been heaven today. I wish I could swim more often as I used to, it really helped both mentally and physically so have promised myself to look into options of a nice place to swim nearer to home.

I have updated YNAB with a few spends this week and have been able to squeeze a little more from budget to send to the mortgage to the tune of £16.51, rounding the mortgage down to £78,600 exactly. The monthly mortgage payment will come out on 1st so that will be another chunk paid off. Once that has come out and the interest has been added I will see what’s the figure is at and try and round it down a little further.

My Mum has had another procedure today which will hopefully help with her pain. It didn’t work last time so I am praying it works for her this time. She is in such agony day and night and is too poorly to have the operation she needs, she has been told she wouldn’t survive it, so minimising the pain as much as possible is the aim now. I just wish there was more I could do. 😞

DS has his op next week, all being well. Another thing that is causing me worry, but hopefully it will help us move forward and get him off this horrible medication he’s currently on.

£16.07 OP’d to the mortgage today to round it down to £78,300 after the monthly payment has come off and interest has been added. I’ll try and get rid of that £300 somehow before the next payment comes out in a month’s time.

I’ve just remembered there’s no council tax to pay this month so I’ve sent £100 of that to the mortgage, now £200 to find in a month. This has also tipped my total mortgage OP’s since March 2019 to over the £5K mark which I’m pleased with.
