A leaflet that came through my door this week stated that you can continue to swap stamps after the deadline for using the non-barcoded stamps, so you'll be fine:GDB2222 said:
I'm just swapping mine today, so I'm hoping that's still okay.HonestJohn said:
The deadline is for using them not swapping them out.GDB2222 said:The RM page with the forms for returning stamps is here:

The deadline is fast approaching!

I suspect they are trying to reassure people, including some on the various threads on MSE that the swap out scheme is NOT linked to the date by which old stamps need to be used.olgadapolga said:

You could be hanging on for years! There must have been millions of QEII barcoded stamps printed for the swapout and they are all going to be issued first.Doc_N said:Perfectly. I’m hanging on for the Charles stamps though. I’d be using the old ones for years!I need to think of something new here...0 -
Maybe, maybe not - nobody knows. But nothing lost by waiting, unless and until they announce a final cut-off date, which I suspect will never happen because of previous assurances by Royal Mail which the current owners are probably bound by.NBLondon said:

Everyone I have spoken to, with regard to the stamp swap out scheme, has sent off their stamps and not received anything in return. Has anyone on this forum received their stamps?0

If you were to read the posts on this thread you will see that many people have received replacement stamps.michfosb said:Everyone I have spoken to, with regard to the stamp swap out scheme, has sent off their stamps and not received anything in return. Yes I have sent 4 lots off in total , the last just a couple of weeks ago and have received replacements in all cases. If you read back through the thread you will see many other successful swaps as well.michfosb said:Everyone I have spoken to, with regard to the stamp swap out scheme, has sent off their stamps and not received anything in return. Yes. £450 worth back in January. Last lot have just gone. All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.0 -
I have just sent my third lot off, special delivery mail as it was worth over £200. As a precaution, I took photos of the stamps when I had them laid out on the table for counting. No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0

Today is the day when I am finally doing it.
Around £150 worth, going to use some (how many exactly?) to pay for special delivery to the actual (not freepost) address use the £200+ form and try my luck requesting SD refund. Take pictures of the contents.
Does it sound like a good plan ?All my life my mother told me the storm was coming (c) Terminator 30
