I tried to get a certificate of posting yesterday (only sending £30 pounds worth).  The PO said they couldn't do this as the computer didn't recognise the postcode when they typed it in ...  Fingers crossed!

SD reimbursement stamps received this morning. Letter dated May 3, their reply e-mail to my query was 21 April.  11 x 2nd received = £7.48 for my £6.85 outlay.
  • I have to admit that this scheme is getting confusing .... by 'Christmas Stamps' do they mean the standard 1st and 2nd class stamps with Snowmen / Santa's etc are now usable forever or just the more fancy ones?

NB: I have requested the forms 3 times via the Royal Mail web site, and although got the message 'You'll receive your swap out form shortly' .... none has ever arrived. Call me a cynic but I have always thought this scheme an attempt to invalidate millions of old stamps.

We queried where our SD stamps were on the 21st April and they said they would send them to arrive within 10 days, which hasn't happened.

That's exactly what it is, using other subsidiary purposes as a subterfuge.  Royal Mail knows full well that a large percentage of the stamps currently out there (and for which they've already been paid) will simply become valueless overnight.

The Bank of England does much the same with banknotes from time to time, but the option to return old notes remains for an indefinite period.  No reason at all why Royal Mail should not do the same.

Finally received replacement stamps today Thursday 5th May, having submitted my form on 4th April, and first followed up 10th April. But only then because RM sent me a letter stating that they were sending me 0 stamps with a value of £0!

No delivery outlay repayment due, as the stamps value was < £200

The stamps are larger than previous.
I would call the code a QR code, rather than a bar code.
I cannot tell without peeling a self adhesive stamp off, but it almost looks like the code piece is separate from the stamp.

The covering letter was dated 3rd May, but was unsigned.
