I understand that I need to get these swapped at the Post Office / Royal Mail.
These stamps were bought before they went Small and Large size stamps. If I have to swap these out will I be able to claim the Large Letter stamp price?
I wonder when more information about the swap scheme will be available?I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. I guess what the OP is saying is that when they bought them they WERE valid for LL ie they could have been used then to post what we now call a LL
So if the stamp could have been used to post a 'LL' back then (even if it wasn't called a LL) why should it not be exchanged for a stamp that can do the same thing today?0 -

If they were going to allow people to exchange the stamps for the standard letters to the more expensive ones then they would have offered it back in 2006.
But in reality they introduced a more expensive service so why would they.

I may be misremembering but didn't there used to be a low weight limit on letters- and it was raised to 100g when PIP came in?

So swap them like for like or leave them in a drawer0 -
I suspect the only reason there is a closing date for the like for like swap is that the PO must have an idea of how many stamps are in the publics hands and the value of the unswapped stamps will go towards settling the liabilities incurred from the wrongful prosecutions for fraud.0
