I'm using up as many stamps as I can before next February!

I have sheets of 1p, 2p, 5p, 10p, 20p and 50p stamps that I use to make up postage, will these need to be changed or is it just 1st and 2nd ones?

I'm not doing well here, after a good start to the week with several  £1.53 large letters I've mainly sold only parcel sized things these last few days.

Probably you have answered this before but could you not bite the bullet and stick your stamps on parcels for a while (not parcelforce)?

I’m not prepared to a) pay an extra 30p per parcel by using stamps and b) lose my delivery confirmation. I know I can pay part by stamps and part over the counter but I still lose 30p per parcel and I run into issues at my local PO who have a limit on parcel numbers 4 a day, if paying over the counter. At the moment they just scan all my parcels , no restriction on numbers, and give me till receipts.

I will probably end up using the swap system once I see the t and cs of that.

There will be barcoded versions of these coming out in April (and well as the £1, £2, £3, £5 high-values.)  Whether these will also be invalidated by Jan 2023 or last until Apr 2023 is unclear.
I need to think of something new here...
  • I have a stash of 2nd class stamps that I bought for 19p back in the 1990's

I understand that I need to get these swapped at the Post Office / Royal Mail.

These stamps were bought before they went Small and Large size stamps.  If I have to swap these out will I be able to claim the Large Letter stamp price?

If they say ‘19p’ on them then you will get 19p, if they say 2nd class then you will get new 2nd class stamps in return , I don’t see why you would expect to get large letter stamps?

Cause you can get 2nd Small and 2nd Large stamps now, but the small and large were not available back then. And yes mine have 1st and 2nd on them.

Large Letter stamps were an addition to the existing standard 1st and 2nd so yours will be exchanged like for like.
