If it was me I would grab it ASAP. Its cheaper than the capped rate for me.
A rate that will probably go up by around 50% in 2 months.3.795 kWp Solar PV System. Capital of the Wolds0 -
If they're offering that to you today, yes - take it immediately.

The SSE (now OVO) Fix and Protect v4 tariff dates from the first half of last year. The IT gremlins are working in your favour

I am with OVO on a fixed tariff ending 26 Mar 2022. I have just been offered several fixed tariffs, including the 'Fix and protect V4' at similar rates to the OP (19.7p/kWh/23.71pDSC and 3.86p/kWh/ 24.93pDSCHOWEVER looking at the terms and conditions there is nothing about the period of the fix. So it would be interesting to see if the OP is correct about 12 months.I have also been offered a 'Ovo member special 1 year fixed loyalty tariff ' at a rather more expensive 29.43p/kWh/45.03pDSC and 7.74p/kWh/26.8pDSCmmmmm0

It's not just for new customers. I had an email saying my current OVO fixed plan was ending and the "Fix And Protect V4" plan was one of the offers on the email. I clicked the renew button and it's all sorted. Confirmation emails and everything.Cardew said:Re my above post I have also been offered two and three year fixed tariffs at considerably higher cost than my 'Loyalty'(I use the term loosely!) all with exit fees - £60 a fuel for the 3 year fix.I think the OP's tariff is open to new customers and as it is slightly cheaper than their Standard Variable Tariff(SVT) will attract new customers who I suspect will find themselves on the new SVT on 01 April.2
