I wouldn't keep these cartons as long as I would keep cans once the BBE is past.8 -
If its BBE though, I think I'd be alright with a month or two (by which time I'd definitely have used them for spaghetti bol)
Very generous of you @yorkslass
Note to self. Don't do 99p listings on ebay anymore. If its the only bid you get, you'll only make 20p after fees!! Live and learn. It's been a while since I did 99p auctions.February wins: Theatre tickets11 -

@euronorris - Had to laugh at the 5 sizes too big dressing gown. It reminded me of one my auntie made for me in bright pink towelling fabric, wrap over style with a tie belt. I was about 8 years old and it was floor length; I was still wearing it age 13 but, thanks to the huge hem on it that kept on being let down, it was now a shortie!
Another dismal day today here with the prospect of more rain to come over the weekend. What a wash out this summer has been. What's the betting nicer weather will arrive once the school holidays finish.
Today's main job will be meal planning for the week ahead. Other than that, I can't whip up any enthusiasm so I'll just go with the flow and see what does or doesn't get done. I may make a carrot cake since there's loads in the fridge and the cake tin is almost empty.
Easy tea tonight - flour/crumb dusted cod fillets lightly cooked in butter with a spoonful of left over mushy peas and a few oven chips, strawberries for afters.
Be kind to others and to yourself too.9 -
Sorry, I meant to say how generous of you @Floss I got muddled! Doh!
They didn't have any of the Passata in my local FarmFoods! They did have Napolina tomato puree though, at 59p each. It was on my list for shopping this weekend, and own brand elsewhere would have costed me 65p, so that's a win at least.
I did completely forget to look for the butter though! Annoyed with myself about that.
Haha @YorksLass That is what it is like on her. Down to her ankles, but it's wrap around, so it works. It'll see her through a few years. To be fair, her current dressing gown is age 7, that she's been wearing since she was 3 when someone passed that onto her lol. It's still in fab condition, so it can find a new home now.February wins: Theatre tickets10 -
Frantic day here as Mr Z's Mum has had a stroke and what makes it more difficult is she lives in France. Waiting for an update from her partner who speaks no English. Fortunately we know a few folk in our village who are fluent and can translate. To keep him occupied and stop the constant fretting we took a trip to Dunoon and got some great YS bargains and an excellent TGTG bag from Morrisons.8
