euronorris said:The cinema is extortionate. If you have O2, you can get 2 tickets for the vue, for £9, plus 20% off food and drink. I took DD and another friend yesterday morning using that deal. Bought sweets and popcorn in Sainsburys before going. So glad I did. Bought them both a slushie whilst there.....with 20% discount......£8.18!!!! I nearly wept!!
They also do 'Mini Mornings' at the Vue, where tickets are only £2.49 each. But its only selected films. For our cinema its currently the mario movie, but DD has already seen that. Our local cinemas are independents - one in the bigger towns either side of our town. The one I went to have changed all. the seating to recliners so Im guessing that why the prices are the same across the board. The other towns cinema has lower ticket prices but the times didnt suit. Both cinemas are about the same distance to me so we go to which one is most convenient8 -
Had a little win yesterday in a Morrisons local I popped into - a six pack of sausage rolls for 27p and 3 packets of tomatoes for 10p each so rolls have gone in freezer and tomatoes will be used for a batch of home made soup tomorrow 😊#39 - Save £12k in 202510

Still cheap tomatoes it will be unless bargains like that are found12

Well I've managed a couple of no spends days. We avoided the cafe with DD when we went to hygeiniest, so only had to spend for the toll Bridge and parking (which is far too expensive in my opinion!!). Thursday we did a play date at a friend's in the morning, and then went to a new local park with some of her school friends in the afternoon. The sun even came out! And we stayed at home yesterday, so no pennies spent there.
We're off to MILs today, but I need to grab a few bits from the shop on the way. Butter, brown sugar, plain flour, eggs. Yep, we made cookies yesterday and used the last of some of these things in doing so.
Instead of buying the chocolate chips for them, last time I went shopping, I bought a big bar of cooking chocolate (one milk and one white) and used the food processor to chop them up real quick. Nice sized chunks for the cookies, enough left over for another batch, and was cheaper than buying the 'chips'.February wins: Theatre tickets10 -

Tinned tomatoes get a fuller taste if you fry them for a while before adding other ingredients.Are you wombling, too, in '22? € 58,96 = £ 52.09Wombling in Restrictive Times (2021) € 2.138,82 = £ 1,813.15Wombabeluba 2020! € 453,22 = £ 403.842019's wi-wa-wombles € 2.244,20 = £ 1,909.46Wombling to wealth 2018 € 972,97 = £ 879.54Still a womble 2017 #25 € 7.116,68 = £ 6,309.50Wombling Free 2016 #2 € 3.484,31 = £ 3,104.599 -
Seeing mention above of Morrisons, we don't normally shop there as there isn't one very local but we spotted they had a gin we like on special offer so made the effort to go there at the weekend. I didn't realise that I wouldn't be able to pick up a loyalty card in store and have downloaded their app since. Am I able to get our spend added onto this account do you know? If so, can I avoid having to go back to the shop to do it, as it's some distance off?
