GaleSF63 said:Once I was old enough to know what "liberty" meant I always thought that liberty bodices were completely misnamed. They were like armour. I hated them. However we lived in a 3 bedroom house with one fire and I don't remember being cold so maybe they did their job!
I think I will stick to layering up instead .
Just got a huge pot of leek and tattie soup cooking and my house smells delicious

Mum and her sisters had liberty bodices. She said she hated hers. Her mum thought bras were immoral. There are some photos of mum in the dancer's changing rooms with all the bras scribbled out LOL Weird when you think there are swimming costume pictures and that was considered okay.. I wonder whether libert bodices were a huge improvement on their predecessors. Some had garters on . The rubber buttons to save them being ruined in the mangle. Who cares about trendy though, much better to be warm! Its me Culpepper LOL couldn't sign in with the old ID so time for a fresh start....7

I just had to look up liberty bodice to check what it looked like, I've heard of them but have never seen one, they look cute for little ones! I wore a vest in winter."You've been reading SOS when it's just your clock reading 5:05 "6

I spend quite a lot on books on Amazon and thought I would try to cut back on that as it can work out quite an expensive hobby as I read very quickly.
I have 11 books on my kindle left at the moment and I was going to read them but then use the local library after that instead.
Someone told me about Z-Library which has loads of free ebooks. I just thought I would put it on here in case anyone else was interested. This will save me a lot of money over time.:) Z-Library. The world's largest ebook library.

Hello Wednesday, You can borrow e-books from libraries and can join mutiple libraries (inc outside local area) for a better selection. Unfortunately kindle readers don't work with the systems but other types do. Suspect deliberate strategy on the part of kindle. Also e-magazines - some libraries only a few - ohers lots. If you are into classical / jazz music etc some libraries allow access to the Naxos music library massive no. of cds - not just Naxos.
