The car is due its MOT as well. We like the car but were told that injectors had gone and so had the controller. And they don't know why the controller failed. So I don't want to spend all that money to find that it fails the MOT. And the car can't be fixed until the end of August due to issues with the spare parts. Electric bike is not practical due to the amount of kit my partner needs to carry. We also have a dog so we need a car. And my partners family live about 40 miles away with very little public transport. And my partners mum has a long term medical condtion so she has up to another 3 years if she is lucky. So no car is not option.Hope for everything and expect nothing!!!

My goodness, popped into Morrisons as it was on my way home, almost everything I picked up I promptly put back down again, shocking prices, had to divert to Lidl!"You've been reading SOS when it's just your clock reading 5:05 "4

We moved last month as a result of the new highland clearances :-(
Needed to buy white goods but when it came to a cooker we realised we use the slow cooker, halogen oven etc more than anything so instead of a cooker my lovely Papa bought us a combi microwave and we are using our camping stove as a gas ring. The gas is pretty cheap so I bought a (whistling) camping kettle and the electric one has been packed away :-)4

We used to like shopping in Lidl, then a quick cheap lunch in Morrisons. The last time we went (a few months ago now), it was so poor we vowed not to go back. And we haven't. I would've said something to the cafe staff but there was no-one on the till, and the server who brought out the food couldn't have cared less actually.Shout out to people who don't know what the opposite of in is.2

Morrisons are the only supermarket that have their own farms in the UK. this is why the prices are going up. Other supermarkets are buying from elsewhere. if you support farmers then the price rises are OK otherwise the money goes to farmers in other countries“HUMAN BEINGS MAKE LIFE SO INTERESTING. DO YOU KNOW, THAT IN A UNIVERSE SO FULL OF WONDERS, THEY HAVE MANAGED TO INVENT BOREDOM. (Death)” - Sir Terry Pratchett10

I don't rate them since the takeover last year. I always liked Morrisons, the idea of it and the actuality of it, but it''s changed too much now. They sold their soul, and it shows.Shout out to people who don't know what the opposite of in is.4

But I never mentioned meat! I was talking prices in general around about the store. other supermarkets sell British meat as well.machasraven said:Morrisons are the only supermarket that have their own farms in the UK. this is why the prices are going up. I'd rather buy from our local farmers market to support local farmers- I know they are expensive, but I can tell the difference in the produce and the money goes straight to them rather than supermarkets. I don't buy much from the FM and directly from other local suppliers, but I buy some things where I can taste the difference/ the product is more unique than can be found in a smkt. I appreciate that not everyone can afford to do that, though.I am the master of my fate; I am the captain of my soulRepaid mtge early (orig 11/25) 01/09 £124616 01/11 £89873 01/13 £52546 01/15 £12133 07/15 £NILNet sales 2024: £208
