HP instant Ink Price increase
Comments

I too received the email last week. It's the 'You are a valued customer ' line that immediately tells me that the company wants me to pay more. They are not the only company using the patronising line to increase their prices.
Having said that, I'm doing nothing and will carry on as I don't print a huge amount and the printer should work when needed.
Printing has come a long way since the days of the cheap chunky printers and expensive and messy / fiddly ink replacements.0 -
I very rarely use the printer but it’s nice to have this 99p plan. If they increase the price I will just ditch the printer. £12 a year is enough for something I maybe use to print a page every 6 months.EssexExile said:I had the email so I downsized to the 99p level, there was no 99p version offered when I joined. Thanks HP for saving me money!0 -
You all need to seriously consider why you need to print anything at all?
Printing is so old fashioned, give me one good reason why you need something you can see on a screen put on a piece of paper?

You may not have need of printouts but that doesn't mean nobody else has.Retired at age 56 after having "light bulb moment" due to reading MSE and its forums. Have been converted to the "budget to zero" concept and use YNAB for all monthly budgeting and long term goals.0 -
Pretty sure you are asking this with your tongue firmly in your cheek, but anyway....[Deleted User] said:You all need to seriously consider why you need to print anything at all?

There is no chance that i will rely on my mobile to be fully functioning when I am queuing at a departure gate at Stanstead at 5am having paid hundreds of quid for flights, tests etc without a paper backup of my boarding pass.0 -
For when I have to send Royal Mail a claim form, for losing a parcel I’ve sent. Perhaps unsurprisingly, they require the form to be printed out and posted to them.[Deleted User] said:You all need to seriously consider why you need to print anything at all?

Printing labels for packages. I don’t feel like sellotaping my brand new iPhone to the front of the parcel displaying the name and address.1

For when you're travelling - and you need to keep hard copies of documents to hand for when the magic brick has no battery.[Deleted User] said:You all need to seriously consider why you need to print anything at all?

For when you want to print off a returns label to attach to a parcel.
For when you want to print off your will for signature and witness.
For when you want to print off 'lost cat' notices to attach to local lamp posts0
