Airtime Rewards – get money off your phone bill via minimal effort cashback app

Laura, thanks for a great article and I have just downloaded the app.
I think you should consider tweaking the article. Although it states "register at least one Visa or Mastercard", I think you should explicitly state that currently Amex cannot be linked; Although Airtime Rewards state that they intend to add it in the future. As Amex cashback is my main credit card this is a shame, although I have also linked it to my Mastercard for all non-Amex purchases. It is possible that switching purchases to M/C may outweigh benefits from the Amex but I will wait to see what type of cashback I accrue through the new app before changing my behaviour.
I would be interested to read responses from others who use the app and also have Amex cashback and if they changed their credit card usage after they starting using the app?

Does this scheme work in addition to my card issuer/bank’s own scheme?
E.g. Halifax currently have 5% back at LNER, on Halifax rewards. If I sign the same card up to Airtime Rewards, will it still track for airtime rewards or would the Halifax version override it?
thanks0 -

Hope someone can answer this, think I know the answer though but I'm checking because I hope I'm wrong!
I use Plusnet. I pay £10 a month which means this would be perfect for me....but Plusnet is not on the list.
Plusnet piggyback off EE and when I went to sign up it actually automatically recognised me as having an EE account (I don't, I have a Plusnet account). If I ever look at my connection it always shows EE for data, never any other brand. But ...I don't have an EE account!
I'm reading this as not being able to use Airtime rewards app. Because they'd pay my redemption to my EE account which doesn't actually exist. I don't understand why they can't just pay my Plusnet account. Or why it even needs to be a mobile account they pay. Or am I wrong? Is it possible to still join as I'm connected to EE for data.
Had anyone managed to do this successfully? Or do I just uninstall and hope this one day changes.0 -

Is there a way to add your date of birth, without scrolling a calendar back from today, a month at a time???0

I've just installed the app and am disappointed to see that my network Sky is not included. I am intending to change to EE or Vodafone in November when my contract finishes. Can I use the AR app in the meantime without linking my network and build credit which I can use once I change?0
