@Coupon-mad, Sorry, I 've been going round in circles, reading POFA and the Newbies thread, I've got myself confused. I now understand that Liable and make pay are two different things.1

It is not a 'fine' it's a scam, you have been sent an invoice cleverly worded to make you think you have to pay a ridiculous amount of money.
They can't make you pay, only a judge can make you pay, that is if it gets that far. IF it does get that far you will have already put together a defence and then a witness statement and will be well equipped to stand your ground.
You will get excellent help and advice on this forum but you must follow the steps in the Newbies, do not ignore deadlines and read as much as you can to get your head around it all.
You now need to find the landowner and get a complaint in asap.
You have said that the bays are not clearly marked, even better if that is on a picture.
You say the signage is pretty poor - how poor ?? Where are the signs, check the wording, is it readable from a vehicle ? Etc etc
All points for your defence but you will learn this as the more you read the more you will know.

Just a little update, I have contacted my MP, (waiting for reply), Poundland aren't interested, so I've contacted Bluestar (Bus Company, their staff park there, they also have said it's nothing to do with them. I will have to go and take photo's of all the signage and bay markings etc.,1

Dear Ms ******,
Re: Business Rates
Thank you for your e-mail.
Unfortunately this is not something that we can help you with and I would advise you to check for the owner details on Land Registry.
Yours sincerely,

So I'm now going to see if my MP can help, TBH, He's been pretty good in the past, with other matters, so I'll wait til next week and see what joy I get, then as they haven't rejected my appeal, I will submit another appeal, not disclosing the drivers details, but drawing their attention to the poor signage, lack of bay markings, etc I'll take some photo's at the weekend.
Thank you all for your help0 -
Why wait till next week to contact your MP ? You need to be trying all options now to get this squashed.
