If he is a surgeon, are they going to let him take 3 weeks off in one go?

Because if he has to quarantine on return for 10 days, and he is away for a week, its going to be the thick end of 3 weeks he will need off.

I think booking independently of them is the best course of action.

Good for him. He deserves a holiday this year then after all the work he’s done.

Being a surgeon he’s no doubt had it and according to the latest science from the CDC that gives him better immunity than vaccination.
    Thank you upsidedownandaround

he does indeed deserve a break, and had it last summer so should have some antibodies.  He’ll often comment and say Covid doesn’t affect him as much now since he stopped watching the news

Thanks people.  I guess they may need to rethink.  We will still travel but say to them we can meet them out there if they choose to travel.   Reason I’m asking on their behalf is because the tin foil hat wearer is actually a surgeon and doesn’t have time to do forums etc.

emmajones, as a side note, it might be worth spending a couple of hours watch Dr Robert Malone’s interview with Joe Rogan.  One of the creators of the mRNA vaccines.  The one 60 million have watched.  Interesting viewing.  And not a single tin foil hat to be seen.

Good for him. He deserves a holiday this year then after all the work he’s done.

I dont see anyone saying otherwise. He clearly just needs to be aware that his decision means he may have issues getting there, issues whilst there (which would likely impact his travelling companions also) and issues on return.

Just like the bloke who started the thread the other day who cant go and see his recently bereaved dad in Spain because he hasnt had his jabs either. Pay your money and take your choice.

And I don’t see me saying people were saying otherwise.

I’m sure you are aware it’s not just unvaccinated people who may and have had issues getting to their destinations, impact whilst there and issues when they return.

Of course not. They are just likely to encounter less issues, and maybe will be allowed to enter countries in the first place. Thats their decision though.

    That’s certainly the case now.

Whether that remains the same for Greece in July is pure guesswork.
  • Indeed it is. Which is why its a prudent step for the OP to book seperate from the other couple, just in case.

It certainly adds an extra layer of issues though , I’ve been abroad since the restrictions came in and if I had been unvaccinated it would have curtailed my plans a great deal as well as added to the paperwork and test requirements. I’m not entirely up to date with the rules but I’m not sure I could even have gone to the Canary Islands without my jabs.
