I'm currently with Plusnet and am thinking of switching to Vodafone as...well, it's much cheaper. Would love to hear people's experiences of using Vodafone's fibre service.
I moved from BT fibre to Vodafone fibre a week ago and as far as it goes there are no problems and I'm more than happy.
The changeover was as seamless as pulling all the plugs out of the BT router and putting them all into the corresponding holes in the Vodafone router (including the telephone). A minor tweak of the SSID and password to avoid swapping all the stuff around indoors and I was up and running within around ten minutes, both broadband and telephone.
I now get 100mbit's instead of 76 (proved by speedtest), I get unlimited calls and it costs me £28.50 a month less than BT. TBH the extra speed doesn't really make much difference to us. The router performs as well as the BT one and has the advantage of being able to split 2.4 and 5g bands which helps stability of some of our stuff.
We are on Fibre to the Premises (FTTP) rather than Fibre to the Cabinet (FTTC), ie the opical fibre terminates in our house rather than in the green cabinet down the road.
We also had BT Digital Voice (VoIP) where the phone is provided via the router and not by a socket on the wall and it all works like it should, even calling line identification.
Never under estimate the power of stupid people in large numbers
I would imagine that the OP is more interested in how any administrative-related issues such as problems when switching or billing errors have been dealt with by Vodafone.
Only had sight of the initial bill and it's correct as is the final bill from BT
The swap from BT to VF happened on the day of my choosing. I woke up on the appointed day and the BT router had been deactivated (orange light) so I just swapped all the plugs over and everything, including the VoIP phone was up and running in around ten minutes after I'd sorted the SSID and password (I put the BT router SSID and password into the VF router to avoid changing all the stuff indoors), so no problems with the switchover.
Not really much else to say - so far I'm more than happy.

Could I ask when your vodaphone equipment arrived please? Mine is due to switch in a week and I haven’t had anything to say it’s been sent yet, just a few texts to say they have stock issues. I’m getting a bit nervous as I work from home…
Thanks @matelodave, I’ll try to stop worrying about it then. They last text to say it was delayed and they’d be in touch in 10 days, but that takes me past the changeover date 😬
