  • Been with three for 15 years, mainly because of the roaming. Now switched to idmobile which uses three network but doesn't charge EU roaming fees. When/if they do I'll switch again.

Of course what emmajones1976 fails to realise is that everyone was paying for “free” EU roaming through higher domestic prices and fees? I don’t mind paying a fair price for using my phone abroad (like I would have to outside the EU anyway) - my roaming bill in Turkey a few years ago for calls and texts was about a fiver as I was clever with bundles. There is a world outside the EU you know.
I spent 25 years in the mobile industry, from 1994 to 2019. Worked for indies as well as the big networks, in their stores also in contact centres. I also hold a degree in telecoms engineering so I like to think I know what I’m talking about 😂

Indeed there is, I have been there.

I look forward to prices in the UK coming down as a result of all of this but if you believe that will happen, you probably believed what was written on that bus ;)

Personally I think you should drop it now. It’s not a politics forum.
