Aye I know that bit, just wonder what level of proof of family visit they will ask for. Anyone can say their dad is dying etc.jon81uk said:
You need a negative PCR test from within 72 hours prior to travel or an antigen test from 48hrs prior.emmajones1976 said:
I wonder how they would deal with someone who didnt even have a recovery cert though.wonka said:I also wondered if I would be asked to show proof of visiting family, but I wasn't.
So yes, I guess this could be a loophole.
Also, I was asked for proof of recovery certificate - before travelling I registered with the NHS Covid status service (https://covid-status.service.nhsx.nhs.uk/), which gave me access to all my Covid records. I downloaded a PDF showing proof of positive Covid test, I think this contains a QR code, and that was checked at Malaga airport.0 -
Hi Emma, I can only go off my own experience this week, of Malaga/Andalucia. But the answer is that no proof at all was asked to verify that this genuinely was a family visit.emmajones1976 said:

No, because you had some recovery paperwork. Would be interested to know what "proof" they ask for if you didnt even have this. I assume this is where you would have to ask for special dispensation from the Spanish Government before hand to visit.wonka said:

When they got to the Spanish border, an unvaccinated colleague of mine had to present a certified copy of their family member's death certificate.

Did he have to contact the Spanish Government beforehand?GingerTim said:When they got to the Spanish border, an unvaccinated colleague of mine had to present a certified copy of their family member's death certificate.

He got in touch with the Spanish consulate here to find out what documentary evidence he would have to present, and was told the death certificate. I'm not sure if he had to provide that information on the entry form, however.emmajones1976 said:
