It's a bag of food which would otherwise be wasted. They vary in price depending on where you get them from. You need to download the Too Good To Go app to your phone and then check what time you can collect the bags and about 15 minutes later than that you can Reserve a bag for the following day.
You never know what you're going to get so it's just a case of going on the app at the right time (Morrisons is about 9.15pm) and if there are any bags available you need to Reserve it and pay. You then get sent a code which you use to pick up the bag the following day from the Customer Services.
Morrisons bags are £3.09 each and Costa are £3. Different shops charge different amounts; it also covers all sorts of shops - in a big town near us there is one of the Asian All you can Eat places and they always seem to have bags but you can't pick them up until after 10pm which is too late for us when we're in that area!

I got a magic 'box' from Morrisons last week, and I'm still working through the bread and veggies - it was a huge amount for £3.09. Well worth it, although my box would not have been good if I didn't like mushrooms... there were a lot of those. Some days, it's just not worth chewing through the leather straps....

Went to our local food pantry this morning and bought quite a lot of pantry food and then took 3dgds to mcds this is coming out of my grocery budget so the total has shot up, I'm thinking a tea party will be the cheaper option next time, although I'm still on target for £18 a week.

Another £48.55 spent since last last Thursday. The biggest extravagance was a bottle of wine to take to my cousin's. The rest is groceries except today's pain au chocolat and a fizzy drink from the canteen to go with my home made coleslaw and egg and tomato sandwiches.Fashion on the Ration 2025 - 1.5 coupons remaining

Off to the market when DH is out of the bathroom and I can get through there. Bowl fruit, Seville oranges (to make a loaf cake) and some fish are planned from the market, then I need to go into the "Harrods" poundish place to check coffee and buy a couple of plant pots. No flowers for me as it is International flower buying day for my DH on 15th (when all the valentine flowers get YS)Save £12k in 2025 #2 I am at £4863.32 out of £6000 after May (81.05%)

A fairly massive £120.21 spent this week; £4.50 at the bakers, £62.50 at the market this morning (meat, fish, fruit & veg) and £53.21 at the supermarket, because I decided to stock up on the various different drinks that the family appreciate - redbush tea, green tea & green-tea-with-lemon - and cheese, as I may not manage to get over to the cheese stall this weekend.
Really I've actually been feeding 5½ adults since September; DD1's boyfriend is with us for 3 nights of the week on a regular basis, and sometimes lunches too, as his job is based near us & he lives 30 miles away. But, sterling chap that he is, he's offered to contribute to the monthly grocery bill & won't take no for an answer. So that will help! (Not to mention that DS2, wife & baby are regulars for Sunday lunch. But the little fellow's no expense just now, just needs puree'd HG veg) I can & do stretch meals to feed whoever is here - always have, since the older boys were teenagers & I never knew how many people would crawl out of the woodwork at mealtimes! - but a little extra money should mean I can stay within my targets rather better.Angie - GC Jul 25: £225.85/£500 : 2025 Fashion on the Ration Challenge: 26/68: (Money's just a substitute for time & talent...)4 -
£6.41 spent at cooop plus the £19.odd for the veg box milk and extras the other day brings the total to 66.43/£300 remaining
We had gone to the local cooop for eggs and walnuts on account of making cakes with my little one but there was YS leeks, raspberries and parsnips so grabbed those too. Most expensive egg and nuts but pleased that everything will be used up.Considering marking somewhere the occasions I have been adding meat to my meals, I think I’d be quite surprised at how often I would eat veggie anyway without actually realisingFollow here for the daily life of an ADHD mum with 2 children and a new mortgage to pay
