I finally tried a Too Good To Go thing and got a box from Morrisons for £3.09. I now have about 20 rolls in the freezer, along with carrots, broccoli, mushrooms, carrot/swede mash mix and the fridge has bagged salad and watermelon. Not a bad result!
Some days, it's just not worth chewing through the leather straps....

I managed to reserve 2 Too Good To Go Magic Bags last night for collection this evening from 2 different branches. I'm hoping there isn't too much bread in it though the last one I got was all fruit and veg which is what I'm hoping for this tie! I think they're really good value for £3.09.

That’s sad, @pamsdish. Doesn’t surprise me though. Coffee is one of the commodities that are seeing a big increase in price. A combination of climate change and the Pound dropping in value against the Dollar.

I went shopping with a list this afternoon and was rather horrified to find that my usual f/f g s yoghurt had increased in price by 15p and that the frozen fruit shelves at M*rks were almost empty.
I bought 4x org. milk, 1 kg f/f g s yoghurt, y/s baby leeks, frozen spinach, y/s pineapple, frozen sweetcorn, frozen petits pois, frozen green beans, fresh parsley, 6 eggs, 3x radishes which cost £11.26. I also spent £1.45 on passion fruit at Mr T and while I was there the baking budget spent £6.10 on maple syrup and food colouring gel.
This month's total spend so far is £12.71/£112 with an average spend per day of £1.58.
This month's baking budget has spent £6.10/£20.

Went to lidals on the way home from dds for a few bits. So bought coffee, marg for eating and one for baking, cheese, yogurt, nuts, seeds and a few other bits and bobs and spent £24.36, so I will add that onto my on-going total.
I'm going to make my own granola as I have plenty of oats, and mincemeat flapjack to use the last bit of mincemeat in the jar, and try to use the last of the veggies as well before I get some more in, although I'm going to the food hub tomorrow, to see if they have some fruit and will probably come back with a bit. I've started to make a list of what I need in the hope I can get them but mostly I end up with something else, so meals can get quite interesting lol
I'm due to visit the community pantry as well, as I haven't been for a couple of weeks and could with stocking up with a few tins, rice and pasta so I'll be doing that before the weekend.
I'm another that doesn't really follow a meal plan, I start out with good intentions but I fall by the wayside. The food does get eaten though, I make sure of that.
Anyway I'm off to bed in a few minutes.
