"Sorry, we can only offer this to people who haven’t previously held an account with us, and/or has not opened a HSBC current account on or after 1 January 2019"  is doing my head in! 🤣

Do you mean the causal illiteracy, RN61? I mean the have/has, not the debatably dubious "a HSBC..."
I think the 'and/or' has been a source of controversy on here before, in that it's logically ambiguous - is it 'and' or is it 'or', as they mean different things?

It's a really poorly constructed sentence all round. Ambiguous, grammar mistakes and no explanation for the *

    0 points to HSBC/FD but I'll still take the £130 and/or £150.

Handily, they seem to have made it easy to argue it either way if we make a complaint in event they decline to pay up!

Perhaps I'm missing a PDF of the actual bonus T&Cs but I couldn't find it. Anyone?

I don't believe they use dedicated documents for their offers, unlike most, but just incorporate the brief description within their main switching page.

Correct. Which page has been updated to the new £150 offer, see my post on that. If you didn't save the original page containing the previous T&C to pdf at the time you applied to switch (recommended) and no one is able to supply you with a copy, try the Way Back Machine which archives web pages; perhaps someone ensured correct version was saved there.
  • There seems to be a bit of "hoop jumping" involved with this offer. Unlike other bank accounts I've opened, they want you to submit certain certified documents certified by a professional person.
I'm assuming there may well be a charge involved in this, reducing the value of the £150 they're offering?

Documents required can vary per person and per bank account.  I applied for a First Direct account and was approved within minutes with no extra information required from me.  For other bank accounts, I have had to provide documents via secure upload whereas other people did not.

It's not really specifically associated with this offer - FD issued new security procedures that now require all new customers to provide certified documents, even if there isn't a switching incentive to offset the cost:
