    Hi
Just a quick reply at the moment, but the big thing that stands out to me is that you are trying to do too many things at once - manage money. find a job, be a mum and a wife and lose weight and quit smoking. No even superwoman can give 100% to all of these all the time.

Will come back with more thoughts later.

  • well, its a few weeks since i last updated, after my last post i had a couple of dark days,
and while i didn't post i did read lots, for some reason i can go for ages without logging in but read (lurk) everyday.

i got the job that i had the interview for so iam just awaiting a date to start training, its only one day a week (saturday) but its all i can do at the moment and its an extra £200 per month.

its quite scary in some ways as i haven't worked for 6 years but also quite exciting,

i have been on slice the pie all the time and although my ears hurt!! i am doing okay and am a 4 start now! so am making at least £10 per week not huge but every little helps

we also did another carboot and made an extra £125.

i have listed lots on ebay so hopefully that will bring some erxtra in.

i am also trying to get some extra together for holiday money as we go to florida in 6 weeks!!!

thanks maz and vandac for your support

  • thought i should just say, the holiday in florida has been paid for us (i know, i know, very lucky!)

my parents in law are taking us and my husbands sister, brother in law and daughter (10 of us in all)

they had a windfall last year and wanted to take us all, the only thing we are paying for is our spending money, they are paying for all meals so its just spending money for us and the girls.

as its such a big once in a lifetime holiday, i want to take as much as poss and hopefully buy things there such as clothes and things to see us through when we get back, i just don't know how much to try to take

  • Once again i have left my diary unattended for ages.

i must do this everyday to keep myself on target/straight and narrow/motivated and sane!

I need to get a few things down on here, but my head is swimming at the moment with too many things.

i'm just going to note down a few things i need to do and that will make me feel a little better.

fill out form for dd's school
move ironed washing up stairs (prehaps even put it away!)
    put a wash on
put last wash out (if nice)
    sort out mams bills
    send chq for me
    ring up thing for mam
tidy kitchen table (i think there is one under there!)
do at least some of ironing pile/mountain
    empty of bins and clean
    wash kitchen floor
    wash livingroom floor
    check on line banking
    prepare meals
    £2.50 slice the pie

okay written down, hopefully tommorow i will update it all properly.

I am just too tired tonight, i am spending everyday at the mo trying to get this holiday money together and i dont seem to have time to do anything else.

I have not started my new job yet so i am trying to make as much as i can

Keep it up Chips, you are doing really well. It is so hard to keep motivated when you are tired so make sure you take a little time out just for you - long hot bath maybe ?

    Take care.

  • Right, my next goal is....

i have to make £1,000 in the next 5 weeks!!!!!:o

this is for our spending money for america, we go in 6 weeks but my target is over 5 to make sure i get the money in

this is how i am going to try ;) and do it

slice the pie aiming for £25 per week friday to friday

ebay - not sure about this as i had an ebay frenzy about 6 months ago.

childrens account - they have been saving their pocket money, this is going towards the target but is of course all theirs:D

any money saved - not buying, sweets, magazines, the odd can of coke

change jar - we are always dipping in to it but no more (i have hid it!);)

surveys - that i can claim cash and not vouchers

car boot sale - i am hoping to do another one before the holiday

i will update my totals once a week on a wedensady as that's today, first one coming up.
