Help taken off a fixed tariff.

I have been taken off my fixed tariff.
I have been told by several advisors from my energy supplier I was on a fixed tariff and have it on several emails in various forms that my account was fixed.
They took me off the tariff in June and then re instated it as I complained that my tariff was a fixed tariff. They now say it was a mistake and I should never of been put back on it and the tariff is no longer available.

Scottish power, December 2020 they put me on it as the company I was with went bust.0

The company that went bust was Yorkshire Energy? And the tariff was Energy Exclusive?Cazzahardy1 said:Scottish power, December 2020 they put me on it as the company I was with went bust.

Has to have been as Yorkshire Energy were the only SoLR that SP took on in December 2020.QrizB said:

"Exclusive Energy" ended on the 1st of July 2021. The OP should have been on SP's deemed tariff ever since.Looking at the prices I can understand why they want to stay on them:

Agreed, looks like the only mistake was putting the OP back on the old tariff, as mentioned by the CS staff.
Just to be clear, if you were originally on a fixed tariff with YE, that ended when they failed, after that you were on a variable tariff which remained fixed while it was running, but it ended around the time you say you were moved off of it.Cazzahardy1 said:They took me off the tariff in June and then re instated it as I complained that my tariff was a fixed tariff.Nothing appears to be wrong in what was done from what you have said so far...0 -
I was told it was a fixed tariff several times and that it end date was Dec 999999. This is not my mistake. Can they take me off it?

The Terms & Conditions for your tariff make it clear that they could do just that, it had no end date until they determined it was to end, hence the Dec 99999 stuff you saw.Once they decided to end it, it ended.

Several Advisers said it wouldn't ever end and to stay on it as it was a amazing deal.

The tariff a Supplier of Last Resort applies is agreed with Ofgem and I believe typically they have to honour it for 6 months.Cazzahardy1 said:I was told it was a fixed tariff several times and that it end date was Dec 999999. This is not my mistake. Can they take me off it?
As @MWT says the T&C's do allow them to end the tariff (did you think it would just last forever?)
I was with YE and on that tariff too but I didn't hang around long enough to see it end. Did SP inform you it was ending tell you what tariff you'd go onto? Did they offer you alternative fixes?0
