Yes a new one, why spend £300 when we need a new one anyhow, ideally just find a new car now and just send the other for scrap.jimjames said:
That makes it even less understandable. £300 vs £11000? Why not just fix it? Or does she just want a new car?blackstar said:My wifes Peugeot 2005, only £300 is for the new clutch.0 -
Or why spend £11,000 when you can pay £300 to get a car working again. Horses for courses.blackstar said:

I linked above:blackstar said:Dacia Sandero 1.0 TCe Bi-Fuel Essential 5dr is the one my hearts set on just wish I could get it sooner than May. If any of you wonderful people can locate a new one in the UK that would be amazing.

How important is the Bi-Fuel? LPG is a gimmick in my view. Not everyone has the same view.
Anyway, here's one in stock £11,475:

Autotrader has a couple more listed with the Bi-Fuel if you go up to the "Comfort" trim, but that's extra money.
For the Essential trim, is the Bi-Fuel worth over £2k extra?0 -
Need a new car, its a 2005 and 13000 miles and a total money pit been wanting a new car for sometime. .jimjames said:

Is that a typo?blackstar said:Need a new car, its a 2005 and 13000 miles and a total money pit been wanting a new car for sometime. .
I wouldn't scrap a car for the sake of a clutch, but maybe that's the final straw... Even if you change, is it worth getting the clutch and selling as a runner?2 -
Sorry Typo 117K miles. Yes ok as a runner but every 6 months I am having to repair something. I have spent £1,300 on it in the last 9 months alone. Will have to get clutch done if I want a car for next 4 months as I really want the Dacia Sandero 1.0 BiFuel one.Grumpy_chap said:

I have read the Dacia Sandero 1.0 SCe Essential 5dr Solid and the Dacia Sandero 1.0 TCe Bi-Fuel Essential 5dr is a much better car with more power as it also has a turbo.
Hope I can find somewhere in the country to get a Dacia Sandero 1.0 TCe Bi-Fuel Essential 5dr now rather than spend £300 on a new clutch as the way it is going in 2 months something else will break and I will have no car for another 2 months before the Dacia Sandero 1.0 TCe Bi-Fuel Essential 5dr arrives in May if I order one now.
I called the Swansea Dacia but they said they did not have this in stock, it would need to be ordered, 4 months time scale.

Dacia Sandero 1.0 TCe Bi-Fuel Essential 5dr is the one my hearts set on but dont really want to wait till May. So if anyone can find that one or similar for under £11,000, new, with 5 seats 1.0 or more ideally with a turbo if only a 1.0 that would be wonderful, spent so many hours on this the missus is telling me to stop but I am not car savy so taking me longer.

And there are a few under 1 year old available too.

you called them between 8 pm and 10 pm and someone actually responded who was able to confirm that information.blackstar said:Sorry Typo 117K miles.

That second Sandero is in a dealers not far from me here in Northern Ireland. I do see them posting on facebook about supplying cars to the mainland so that could be an option. They a family owned and run business too, rather than some big faceless corporate.Grumpy_chap said:
Autotrader returns some matches (8 pages in all), for example:blackstar said:Thanks all, if anyone can find me a new car under £11,000 that would be great...ie one which is available now.
