How's the dear patient? Are you ringing the bell for room service?
On another note, of course I should have realised that Chloe would not appreciate the trumpet. How about if we stick to the velvet cushion (in her favourite colour, naturally - I'm guessing lilac), embossed golden invitation etc but with a harp accompaniment? Love Humdinger xx2 -

Thanks @debtfreewannabe321, @Brewerspride, @themadvix, @f0xh0les, @Humdinger1, @beanielou, @Twolabsandacat, I appreciate your good wishes.Just checking in to say I really don’t feel any better. I’m oscillating between being absolutely freezing (at one point I was in the sofa with a hat, furry boot slippers, hot water bottle, blanket and I was still cold!) and absolutely melting down with the sweats. My guts have gone funny, my coordination is a bit off and I don’t feel able to drive.Mr KK thinks I shouldn’t go into work tomorrow. I get the logic of what he is saying but I’ve only been working there 8 months … 😳

Have you been in contact with anyone with Covid? I spent about 48 hours feeling like I was 20 degrees tilted off balance and dared not drive about 2 weeks ago. Then just as suddenly, fine. Turns out I was volunteering with someone who tested positive - he had similar symptoms to you + a cough.
Hope you are just fighting it off. If you can't drive, you are not safe to work. I'm going to side with Mr KK on this one.
Duvet day tomorrow. Chloe-cat is in charge.4/10/25Three Years Mortgage Free Yay!

I'm with Mr KK on this too. I'm sure work know you well enough by now to realise that you wouldn't go off sick for no reason. Rest up young lady & get well soon.2

Would your colleagues appreciate you sharing your germs? Probably not.
And besides that, you're not going to be effective if you attempt to use your brain while sick. Put your HSE hat on for a minute - are you fit to make objective judgements?
As @f0xh0les says, do a Covid test. I felt terrible. I did keep working - but I'm fully remote. And I agreed with my boss that I would be available for meetings that we really didn't want rescheduled/no one could cover but otherwise would focus on recovering. I had video off for all the meetings I did attend. So the most you should offer is to be available for emergencies, but no guarantee of an immediate response - you'll check your phone periodically.4 -
Resounding echoing what others have said, you sound unwell and if you don't feel safe to drive then you cannot go into work and start chatting health and safety to others!
You've worked there eight months, not eight weeks. People catch colds etc. This is not a failing on your part. Prioritise getting better rather than dragging ill health on unnecessarily3
