Is that Fielding or Dowding, @CCW007? I first heard of him when I was the programme secretary for a local garden society and booked him for a talk. His enthusiasm is infectious 😊CCW007 said:
I took my my dad to a talk Charles Fielding gave which was fascinating and made it sound really easy. I need to get planning for veggie growing next year, after the kitchen is sorted!KajiKita said:Or you can go the no dig route and lay cardboard down with a thick layer of compost over the top - Charles Dowding website and books are easy to follow. Redo is 100% right in saying if you start prepping now, whatever method you use, your ground will be ready to use come the spring 😊

I have been re-reading his Skills book over Christmas to try and plan for succession growing next season! 😉😊

It’s good 😊 Had a piece of it with a fried tomato and some halloumi for dinner tonight 😊 I can see how adaptable a recipe it is and how you can riff on it 😊redofromstart said:I'd love to go and listen to someone inspiring on planting stuff @CCW007 the closest I get is my Christopher Lloyd books
@merlinsbeard if you are going for raised beds then you may get bargain frames, and then as @KajiKita says cardboard and compost on the grass and get ahead of yourself.
Hope you like the lentil loaf @KajiKita, it was a regular thing here for a while

Enjoy getting the veg garden ready. I enjoy the initial enthusiasm stage but don't always then offer it enough care and attention for it to thrive. I have loads of seeds though.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030
