Afternoon all, 

I created the second half of my diary on January 5th 2022. My debt was at £4710.71, as of today 14th April my current debt is £2153.48. Ive "paid" back £2546.52. Ive worded paid like that as some art part settlements so I have and haven't paid it, but it's no longer a debt to me so I'm classing that as paid in my eyes.

At the start of my forum journey my total was 6.1K. Thinking about it, I've come a long way since the very start of my journey. I've had so many helpful people cheer me on, nudge me in the right direction. I would never have offered settlements or even knew about them without the forum and threads on here. I've learnt creditors aren't nasty or scary, albeit some are a little rude. But overall the fact I'm so close to being debt free and my one debt is more than half my debt overall is great. 

I can definitely say I will never ever get into debt again, it's taken years to get to the point and I know 6k debt is small compared to other debts across this forum but, for me.. It was a big debt. I think with a bit of motivation and you guys keeping me on track, I honestly think I can be debt free by August!

Oh also, in other news. I've been recognised in Sainsburys for being one of the 6 top IPH achievers. So they're going to give me some vouchers! YAY

But seriously, thank you all that's stuck by me and kicked me back into gear where needed x

I won't, I've worked out what days are best for me at Sainsburys now. I choose not to work Monday or Tuesday as over time anymore usually just a Thursday and Saturday now

This is really great @BlueJ94, seriously well done!  I agree about making sure you don't burn yourself out and don't let it impact your mental health like I have just had, proper wobbly meltdown in the house of LMD, I kid you not!

You have done superbly, and that settlement was well deserved, if you don't ask, you don't get!

Thank you! I'm making sure I don't over work myself. I've enjoyed my week off from my main job and I'm happy to not have to go back until Tuesday

Afternoon/evening?

Nice day here, we've been to a market where OH picked up beef so that's a hint for Sunday dinner and then we went to the garden centre and then B&Q. I picked up some paint to repaint the bedroom!

Got a phone call from the car garage. Said my car is ready to be collected. Was awaiting a massive bill, I expected around £700+ but to my nice surprise it was £449 as I supplied most of the parts myself. Even better, I paid in cash from my very own budgeted pockets! I don't owe a penny to anyone for the car and it's an amazing feeling.

Me and OH just did an old change, well I passed things to him he did the oil change so I helped

Tonight we're getting a BBQ takeout from a new place that opened, followed by myself enjoying a glass of gin with a nice bubble bath!
