    Morning all!

So I've decided, today will be my last day in Sainsburys. I do really enjoy working there but recently due to there being no over time and there being gaps between I work I feel more physically and mentally drained. So I'm slowly struggling more and more to enjoy getting up and going there. I want to enjoy my jobs, but currently I don't like either.
I just need to find out who I have to contact etc.

Obviously, this is going to put a strain on my finances but it just means I need to rebudget!

Morning Jade,  that must have been a really tough call given how much you like it and the fact it has helped you improve your finances, however if it is starting to impact you it sounds like its a good call. It has put you in a really good place, your own well being is important too.

    Thanks @FootyFanDan

Yes agreed. It's at the point where they're only asking me to work a Saturday as extra now, so I literally work 7 days a week. So I think it's time to stop that now.

So they've quickly came back to me and suggested I take a few shifts off to refresh myself and start back when I can. Which is nice. So I'm going to give it one more shot. If it burns me out I won't be going back

This seems like a sensible approach and hopefully as they want you to stay they might look at when the overtime shifts are they're offering x

Hopefully! I don't mind the odd Saturday but most of last month I work 7 days a week. With the occasional one Saturday off.

Suprised though that my OH encouraged me to stay at least until I'm debt free and no longer need the extra money.

  • Sainsburys has been good to get your debts where they are, but you are right, you don't want to burn out! Take some time off, think about it, and whatever you choose I am sure will be the right decision!

    Thank you!

Yes I think I'm going to take a few days break and probably will go back. Just need to clear my mind properly.

If you do go back set yourself some rules like no overtime on a Saturday and or anything else that keeps it manageable for you.

Thanks all, heads all over the place at the moment! But good news, I've got another job interview next Wednesday at 2pm for a trainee textile bag printer job, sounds fun! I love doing design and art things so hopefully I get it. I'll earn more there also being 20k a year!
