Morning Jade
As others have said you can seriously think about it over the weekend. I’m guessing the wages are less because hours are less and will be the same or more with the overtime. You just need to be wary if there isn’t any overtime available. Maybe if you were debt free it might not be an issue but you are working another job to get extra money 🤷🏻♀️. Lots for you to think about. Hope you still manage to have a nice weekend.Frosty here this morning but the sun is coming out, so should be a nice day.1 -
Thanks all,
Don't think I'm going to go ahead, as much as I want to leave my main job I don't think it would be financially beneficial. I wouldn't be debt free by August, I wouldn't be able to save money etc. I will however be looking for a full time job, if this job was full time hours I would go for for it.

Sorry not been posting much, lots to do!
Also, my cooker broke. There's just no power going to it at all. BUT we do have a george foreman grill, pressure cooker and an air fryer so have to come up with some meals for that. OH hates the idea of chicken in the pressure cooker but, nows my time to prove to him that they can be tasty! Thinking of making a nice curry for dinner tomorrowWe went to a farmers market today, that was fun. OH treated me to a bottle of Toffee Banana Rum! (currently drinking it with lemonade in a nice hot bubble bath)Been nice and sunny here, I've planted some seeds. Hung washing on my washing line that always falls overwe washed both the cars and OH sister gave birth to a girl. My sisters due date is 4th April so not long. Also booked a nice week off in April around Bank Holiday so making the most and getting 8 days off for the price of 4 and I'm only working one day in sainsburys as I booked holiday there also!

Sorry to hear about the cooker, but you sound like you have it covered.

wow - lots I've missed here in the past few days!
The job sounds like the right decision to me - you need to know that whatever balance you strike you can at least meet all your commitments and not feel "poor" on just the basic pay - overtime is great to have access to but definitely never fall into the trap of considering that, or bonuses (if non contractual) to be a part of income you rely on as a given. Great plan to leave things with the new company on such a good footing too - you never know, if they create a full time role they may even contact you!
As for the cooker - what a nuisance. Do you think it could be as simply as the fuse in the fused spur that feeds it? You'd need a sparky to deal with it I guess but if so it hopefully won't be too pricey to fix. (They may also have to do some digging to find out WHY it's blown the fuse of course). At least you have other cooking options though - that definitely helps!🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

Also, we've ordered a replacement fuse should be here Wednesday latest! My OH is a plumber so knows a few electricians. BUT the cooker came with the house and is the landlords responsibility so if the fuse doesn't fix it I'll be calling the landlord to come out and sort it. So won't cost me a pennyI’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe boards and spending & discounts boards. If you need any help on these boards, do let me know.
