I'm going to disagree that your insurance is particularly expensive to be honest - I have no idea how old you are but I'm guessing you're a good many years younger than my "forty-mumble" years. I'd also guess looking at the fall in instalment cost you mentioned from last year to the renewal price that you may well still be earning no-claims discount. Yes - as I suggested previously paying annually and then budgeting internally for the monthly amounts  is without question cheaper, but allowing that I pay best part of £300 a year to insure my '16 plate Clio I don't think you're doing too badly! (And it WILL get cheaper of course!)

Paying annually should be everyone's aim - but it's not always reachable for folk as you do need to be able to accumulate that amount upfront whilst still paying monthly initially, of course. It probably IS within your reach though, so definitely one to go for sooner rather than later!
Thanks! I'm 27 and my car is a 2002 plate. I don't think my insurance is expensive either, as I said before my insurance goes down in June from £55 to £42ish.. I remember when I first started driving in 2015 my insurance was £1500 for the year on a 2006 corsa  yes I've got 5 years no claims also.

Thats my end goal, to be able to pay for insurance and tax anually when I'm able to afford to do so

    Morning all,

So, I've had an update from Sainsburys. They've basically said we're extended until March 5th, which I knew anyway but they've also said in order for them to keep me on I have to constantly hit IPH which is 174 items, I currently hit around 190/200 so this is a positive! So hopefully once March 5th comes around they will keep me on

Afternoon all, so far of my F&Fs!

First 118 at £1940 25% offered they came back saying £1400 I refused.

SafetyNet at £300.71 I offered 25% they basically said nope, I asked what's their counter offer

FiveLamps £725 I offered 30% they said no but happy to do £404 and wipe off the remaining. (I agreed and they've given me until the end of the Month to pay them)

    Next to try is Vanquis

Woohoo! Thank you for your advice on doing the F&Fs as I wouldn't of done them before.

I've just emailed Vanquis my offer and trying to negotiate with SafetyNet.

I'm surprised FiveLamps offered me until the end of the Month to pay also!
