Time to start a Fresh part 2, 2022!

For some reason the post only decided to post half of what I said. First part was this 

Not much going on here today, worked on until 9am this morning and probably do the same again tomorrow. Didn’t have a nap as OH wanted to go out so off we went. I am pretty tired this evening but I’m going to bleach the bath as I’ve not given it a good clean in a while. OH turn to make food so I’m going to pour myself a nice glass of wine as I wait for my dinner to be cooked. Just had a nice relaxing bath, work clothes are in the wash just waiting for that to finish. Been eyeing up some plants for the garden but undecided what I want, ordered a few seeds from seeds to sow, thanks

Thanks! I just can't wait to see the numbers slowly dissappearing. It's refreshing to know that the one debt takes up more than half my debt overall if that makes sense? It's like, once my other debts have gone I can focus everything on the bigger debt

Morning all, 

So I've checked my freezer and cupboards and noticed how much food we don't eat. My OH goes to the butcher every so often and buys chicken etc in bulk. We've got a lot of pork chops in the freezer than we don't really eat, I'm open to eating pork chops but I don't really like the taste of it, I think it's boring so I'm going to search for some recipes later and defrost a load of them and make something in the pressure cooker. Also in the cupboard there's a load of tinned foods that I forget is there as my OH only eats beans so I'm not buying anymore tinned items until we've run out (unless beans)

Aw thank you so much! He's a little spoilt doggy, he's currently asleep on my bed between the pillows thank you! I've been trying to work my butt off!

Morning all, 

I ended up working yesterday in sainsburys as they were desperate. I didn't mind as I knew I could come straight home. So I came home and dyed my hair. See below not really done a lot today, OH is in work and I've just been paying on the xbox. 

It's our 6 year anniversary today but we're not really doing anything for It.the weather is rubbish! So I'm going to enjoy my day off playing on the xbox and that's all my plans for today. I've done some cleaning aswell.

Fingers crossed you'll hear back on the other F&F offers pretty soon. I completely agree with just letting 118 run now. As and when you reach the point that you only have that one left can I also suggest you look at setting aside the money you would have OP'd into savings too, rather than paying off a bit at a time. That way, once you've got something close to the full amount in place you can make a further F&F offer, and quite frankly, at that point, if they still refuse to negotiate even, I'd just be inclined to set the monthly payment to come out of that savings pot and again leave it running paying the absolute minimum. Allowing the interest is stopped on it (And I assume it's defaulted?) there's no actual real benefit to YOU in clearing it sooner other than being "headline debt free" - in fact by that stage there's a decent chance that it will be financially better for you to have the debt-neutral amount stashed and earning some interest. Allowing that they also have your existing F&F on file there's probably a decent chance that at some stage they might approach you with another offer - particularly once they realise that you're happy to dig in for the long-haul otherwise!
