    Morning All,

I have changed the goal posts for savings this year - £4600 instead of £2600. Since the pay increase.
Feeling happy that I will see the 3 figure turn into 4 figures this coming Friday.

Sold £80 of dress (just 2) on Vinted last night. When they have been sent I will decant that into the "I want a dehydrator" fund.

My lovely parents are with me at the moment. Since Granny died they have a little more freedom to visit the house down with me. That said - mother has the place all asunder. So I haven't felt like doing anything worthwhile around the abode. Its disheartening to see but I know she is very tired and more than likely reading this as I think she has cottoned on to me being on MSE again.

I may be absent for a while as I don't feel the need to update here as much to be honest. I think the novelty has worn off however I won't be closing the diary as I will update periodically.

Here's to selling more on Vinted (eventually) and growing more in the garden!

Good luck with the savings goal, keep doing bite-size transfers and it will build up.

Keep up with sales and buying things which will make your life better.

Take care of yourself and I'll look out for random updates.

Okay Okay... I have an idea and it needs to be put down. I want to make £1000 on Vinted this year.

I will claw back the £106 I made and spent ( £26.50 x 4 weeks) out of the food budget and add it to the £80.25 that was paid and withdrawn yesterday.

    That's a respectable £186.25.

I need another £813.75. If I sell 90 items at £9.99 each this would be a further £909.09.

I will add a contingency of another 15 items to accommodate offers of "bundle purchases" or such like.

Its not a solid plan yet (£9.99 is a large amount for people to pay and above the average) but one I will be working through this week.

Purchased a £20 clothes rail to hang everything I don't want / haven't worn in 2 years etc. I like to be systematic, take good images / have wrapping ready to go (will need to factor in purchasing that etc and have a clear system!)

I might end up living in my pyjamas.

Sounds like a good plan and can be reviewed as and when required. Keep any decent packaging you receive and reuse it to send your sales out.

Nowt wrong with living in PJs, I did it for nearly 2 years WAH 🤭

Regarding packaging you're so right. I work in a place that gets lots of little deliveries. I've kept about 200 small dress size clear plastic bags to use as liners and brown paper for makeshift wrapping. Time to get that all out and see what I can do with it to ensure safe delivery.

Yes!! Pj's all the way... tell me the reason you did that??

I rolled out of bed 15 minutes before I was due to start work and didn't see the point in getting ready just to sit at home. When I had meetings I'd put a fleece hoodie on so no-one knew 🤭 immediately after it would come back off.

  • I’ve got loads on Vinted but not sold anything for a few weeks- despite every costing £1! Hoping it will pick up as I’ve got lots of summer stuff on there but otherwise I will give to a charity shop I think after summer as it’s just clutter.
Been on holiday to Edinburgh this week and pretty much confirmed I want to move back to Scotland so will look at transferring my job up there in the next 1-2 years.
Still living with my brother rent free and about to max out my LISA at £10k. That’s £10k saved since Feb this year!
Thankfully I can do overtime with my job so got 4 shifts booked and another 2 bank holidays at double time.
Would be great if I could move to Scotland with £30k saved as a deposit and hopefully my salary at around £40k would allow me to borrow enough for a mortgage. That’s the dream anyway.
Hope you are all well. NSK let’s catch up this week if we can

    Howdy all...

Just a quick one from me.

£1400 now saved. Have re-adjusted my yearly attempt from £2600 to £4600 And now to £5000. That's £120.57 a week from now on instead of £100. This reduces my weekly allowance from £73 to £53 from whence my petrol came..

So we shall see how this works out.

I have £154 from Vinted and a whopping £87 in the 'car is about to die find.

So... we are pressing forward in the knowledge that £1400 might be car repairs.

Cancelled cat insurance but am still putting money away into the Bill account to cover her no they flea/working tablets.

Still over spending on food and having to borrow from the "other" account. Always some new recipe I want to try and now that I need some gym supplements I have nowt to spend..

CC still clear. So I'm happy.

    That's me for now..
