So annoyed with myself 😠

We've use up a pack of cod and another of sea bass this weekend, and I've thrown out some pesto that was furry.
Nothing new added as we had a power cut and the freezer had to remain tight shut as much as possible. I'm happy to say things remained frozen solid and all's well now.

Had a better few days, I have stuck to the meal plan and managed to get just a few things I needed at the shop. I've just done a recheck of the fridge and wrote down what needs using up and made an updated meal plan up until the end of next week using the fridge stuff, pantry and freezer items. By rights I shouldn't need to go to the shop except for bread and milk but...... I'll try my best.
So today...
Out - pizza, garlic bread, salad stuff and a tin of French potatoes
In- was gifted 2 tins tomatoes, chickpeas and a pack of rice.... Like I need more of any of those things!!

I seem to be overrun with leftovers. There are two portions of chicken chasseur from Sunday (I had some tonight so I'm giving it a break tomorrow), mushrooms, half a miniature bottle of wine, salad leaves, peppers, sausages, fresh ginger, rhubarb and several portions of liver.
The plan is to make rhubarb and ginger muffins again, possibly tomorrow night if I have any energy left (we are babysitting).
Tomorrow night is tuna pasta which uses up some peppers and an onion, but I think I need tinned tomatoes. After that I'm probably doing liver and sausages (more tomatoes, or beans). DH wasn't keen on the chicken chasseur so I can have it if he's out, or for lunches, but lunches in the near future are overnight oats to use up yogurt, bananas and frozen soft fruit. If there are elderflowers still in bloom by the time I have energy back, I also want to make a couple of bottles of cordial, which will help work through some of the lemons in the fridge and freezer.

I have a large pack of cooking bacon to use up, so plan is to make Jack Monroes' Bacon, Black & Cheese casserole for tomorrow and Carbonara for dinner tonight. I will still have loads of bacon left so will have to get my thinking cap on.
My sister has given me a pack of curd cheese - does anyone have any ideas how to use this? I would prefer something savoury rather than sweet. I also have 4 packs of ready-rolled pastry - 3 puff, 1 shortcrust (don't ask) - so maybe they could be incorporated. (Alternatively, send them to me in the post & I'll make poutine - LOL)
Though not 'traditional' bacon added to poutine makes it even better!
