@Cherryfudge I love nigella seeds. I add them to breads, casseroles and curries to give an extra sweet onion flavour. They also go really well with sausage casseroles and gravy.“I want to be a glow worm, A glow worm's never glum'Coz how can you be grumpy, when the sun shines out your bum?" ~ Dr A. I love nigella seeds too! I like to dice up some potatoes, toss in a little oil and then sprinkle with a little curry powder, garlic powder (powder not garlic salt) and nigella seeds. Roast until crispy and golden. Yumm!"Men are generally more careful of the breed(ing) of their horses and dogs than of their children" - William Penn 1644-1718

I bought a mango but didn’t think about what to do with it & I’ve had a packet of ladyfingers in the cupboard for AGES and had a leftover small bottle of orange juice from McDonalds so I decided to make a mango “tiramisu”.
I have half of the biscuits, cream and mascarpone left so I think I might try to make an actual coffee tiramisu later this week.“I want to be a glow worm, A glow worm's never glum'Coz how can you be grumpy, when the sun shines out your bum?" ~ Dr A. Ohhh... you need someone to test that mango tiramisu, don't you? Straight after I try the nigella ideas. I'm definitely getting those seeds now.
I haven't managed to use up anything today except the fridge raspberries, eaten with tinned peaches, defrosted raspberries and meringues from stock.
I made the pesto and I think it works, though I've not tried it yet. Perhaps one for me to have at lunch one day as I'm not sure DH will be keen!
Has anyone seen @carinjo recently? Hope you're okay carinjo.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

Ok, not so good. I had to go into the shop again and spent £30, so £42 so far this week... not too bad (yet). Didn't use much of my stored food today as I was so busy getting kids ready for a trip so I went to the shop and bought a pie for dinner 😏Grocery challenge:

@Cherryfudge Well according to my GP my cholesterol is too high so you’d be doing me a favour eating that honestly! 😉

Had the meat order arrive, so spent a 'happy' few days flash-freezing a lot of meat - 5kg of chicken breasts, bag of steaks, pork, etc etc. No room in the outside freezer now.
Reduced down the damson cordial as it was a bit runny - may have overdone it as it set a bit like conserve - I'm hoping diluting it a bit will help.
In: diet of the average puma.
Out: Bacon, chicken thighs, the last portion of egg-fried rice, sweet potato chilli, parsley, one of the chicken breasts, 2 small steaks2024 Fashion on the Ration - 10/66 coupons used
