There are bound to be ups and downs with selling. I had one enquiry about the shed but it didn't translate to more. So I may drop it down by £10 and look at what else I have to sell. Good luck with your selling and your new job.

    Week 14 .

MC..I had four sales on Ebax that ended at the weekend .I sold around two hundred pounds before fees and postage which was all brilliant ,packing not so nice ! Other than that nothing else to report ,i think i have spent around £24 so far on food and tonight i am collecting two bags of the too good to go supermarket food .They were £4 each and say they contain £12 each .Im guessing we may not like everything so some may be going to Olio ,im looking forward to the surprise though ,hopefully its a good surprise

Well done on eb@y sales - that's great! I like TGTG but the quality and quantity can be variable.  There aren't many stores near me so I only get one if I'm going to be in the area.

Listed my charity shop items on eb@y and one item (free gift from pet food order) on FB; I'm on leave from Friday so will hopefully get more sorting and listing done then.

Thank you CCW007 .. Yes i did wonder if the quality may not be very good and i end up with squelchy lettuce in a bag etc but i thought i would give it a try .We are very lucky that we are close to lots of supermarkets ,restaurants etc and that we also have lots of Olio volunteers too.

That is really good ,keep listing ,most things sell eventually ,its consistency that counts ,hopefully you can have a really good declutter while you are off

I have two Olio collection slots a week from Tesco which I love doing and also pick up bits from other Olio collectors - it's fab!  Haven't bought bread or baked goods since I started doing it!

I do wonder if i should volunteer ,i am a bit worried what will happen though if i become overwhelmed with food and not enough people collect ..Yes me too with the bread ,it all really helps doesnt it ,i had noticed that your food budget was very good ,ours was around £150 a week and i have managed to bring it down to 60 with careful planning and keeping to roughly the same meals each week plus the added bonus of Olio

Don't be too impressed, my £150 budget this month is to try and reduce costs - we typically spend £400 - £600 a month!  We have plenty of food in so I'm hoping it's doable and then I get into the habit of tracking and shopping to a budget, my shopping habits are rather too haphazard and disorganised.

Well done on the sales and the grocery spend reduction.

If you volunteer for Olio TH, you’d be surprised at how much bread goes. I don’t remember the last time I had any pastries left. And your fellow volunteers will help with places that will take it - local charities, animal rescues etc. I didn’t know these places existed until I became a volunteer! And you can order a load of postcards to spread the word among your neighbours too. Give it a go if a slot comes up - you could always try a one-off one to cover for someone else first. It’s hard work (people don’t read!), but I’ve made some great friends and met some lovely people through it.
