Thank you mr and Mrs Vix 😊 I am sure we looked for a way to set a timer but couldn’t find it when we got the car. I’ve now downloaded the mg app and will try and read up and see if it can be done tomorrow, fingers crossed! Much appreciated ❤️MFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁1

There should definitely be something in the app/car - even our 64 plate Audi could set a charging timer. 🤞🏻Mortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days

I set a timer on my car ,but then wonder why I cant charge it up when I am out …….2

🤣 oops! We never really charged the Audi while we were out as it was a slow charger (22kW) - and Intelligent Go schedules it for you when you plug it in. I can see how that would happen though (definitely something I’d do!)Debsnewbudget said:I set a timer on my car ,but then wonder why I cant charge it up when I am out …….Mortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days

Fingers crossed! I couldn’t find it before on the screen, but I may have been impatient 🤣
Off to the big yellow and blue store first thing today and dragging best friend with me for free coffee 😬 I’ve a £10 off £11 spend and it’s burning a hole in my pocket. I’m very tempted to get a small Xmas tree, I’ve been very bah humbug this year, threatening to not put up the tree (it’s big and very full of decorations that takes all day to put up and nobody’s coming for Xmas - poor me etc, etc. 🤣). I thought I’d look at their £19 small tree I could actually fit in the bay window, well on a small table as it’s too small otherwise.MFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁3 -
A small tree is a great idea, festive but less work

Well I got the small tree, smaller than I realised actually 😆 the bigger size might have been better but they had sold out anyway and won’t be getting any more trees this year now, how odd in November! So £9 towards the tree along with the £10 voucher. Also as I’m under budget I ordered myself a black dress from vinted for £4 plus postage with the tags on still, it’s from one of those online essexy type shops where I’ve had a couple of summer dresses before, one size, stretchy, knot front, tie at the back and comfy, it could be good for Xmas and summer if it looks ok, if not I’ll re sell 😬It’s made me think about clothes again, I will hopefully lose more weight next year and would like some new bits for the trips booked but don’t want it snowballing into way too much stuff 🙄 I still have things to sell and am thinking of maybe just using money i make from vinted to buy what I need next year, be that new or second hand. Postage is the problem with vinted, it’s sometimes more than the items and it’s hard to tell if things will fit. Got to have some challenges for next year, this could be another one to resurrect.MFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁4

Being cost-neutral on clothing sounds like a good challenge 👍Mortgage start: £65,495 (March 2016)

Right, well after a lot of looking on you tube and time spent in the car, it doesn’t have the option to set a timer remotely 😩 a year later the newer model does but not ours sadly. So the options are new car, new charger or possibly getting an electrician to fit a timer to the charger perhaps if it’s suitable 🤔 will have a word with dil’s dad when we see him next and ask , as he’s an electrician, although I’m not sure I love the last option as it would only work at night.Spending update today :
£9.98 costa on toast and coffee, my turn this week.
£2 in Poundland on a chocolate orange to replace one that was in dds Xmas hamper that’s still not been collected, not sure where the last one went, it’s a mystery…
£6.35 m@s , reduced rolls and the most shockingly expensive macaroni with pigs in blankets for dh that was reduced to £5.10 - yes, I did say £5.10!! Full price was £9.50 😱 for what I thought was a ready meal, turns out it’s probably one of their Xmas “sides” supposedly for two but he will eat it alone I’m sure 🤣 it’s too expensive and unhealthy as a normal dinner so I’m freezing it and he can have it as a festive treat dinner Xmas eve 😁 I shall be trying to keep costs low, heathy and veggie as much as I can get away with so need to throw in a few awful treats so he doesn’t feel too hard done by!£30.15/£1000 left now.I guess I’m cheating now but we are going out for dinner sat night with old work friend at his local wonderful (and cheap) curry house, it was going to be December but now it’s this week, so I’ll cheat and not include it in the challenge. The money is coming from the £1 a day Xmas extra savings pot.As I’ve been reading Greying Pilgrims diary, I’ve been inspired to do a Xmas meal plan, perhaps even a Xmas doing plan as well maybe as dh is off work? Need to have a look online and come up with some good ideas for both 😊MFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁3 -
