All arrived yesterday all for the same day , two in different roads at the same minute of the same day and one five mins later. Apparently it’s roads off a high street in central London that are restricted for two hours a day to cars 😩 he has to make the same delivery today again and I’m convinced he will do it again! He’s spoken to his friend at work who did the knowledge and has told him which turn to take now, but I’m not confident 🤔 He will pay the fines from the business account….June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!4

Re the factory and advertising it, once decorated etc., would a short video be an idea if one of your offspring could make it for you? Might give prospective tenants a better feel for the space?
Well done for going to the cinema in your own! 👏 I want to go and see the next bridge-er-ton film in September but I need someone to go with as there is no way Mr KK will go with me … 🤷♀️
KK
Not a bad idea, but we will get them back to photograph once it’s empty and decorated, we are paying them enough they should do a good job 😒
You should go on your own to see the film, I can now confirm that it’s fine 😬
🤣 Greying that does sound familiar! Once in a very small screen with a couple (again older) chatting loudly and throughout the film, ds2 was getting very annoyed, he started with a subtle head turn a good few times to no avail, then stepped it up to a tut when they just wouldn’t stop, then finally after I don’t know how many times they talked loudly he stood up, turned around and said to them, “excuse me could you please be quiet as you are spoiling the film for everyone” 😱 I was both proud and mortified 🤣 insisted on racing out at the end quickly, and you know what it didn’t even stop them making a noise 😆

Oh no Vix , it’s easily done, although congestion charge is dearer than that 🤔 they added a bus lane that’s really short on the way to the factory, can see no reason why I think they just like to catch us out 😒

Oops third post as I’m disorganised 😆
Busy few days, visited mum yesterday morning who asked us round for a complimentary curry, plus ds1 asked to see us Friday night so we took him with us 😬 lovely friend visited for lunch, currently with a walking sticking stick as she broke her leg, recovered then fell on the bus and hurt it again so she can’t so much. Today has been a lazy one at home, what is in takeaway curry that gives me a “hangover” the next day?! I feel like I’ve been drinking! Glad it’s not something we eat very often.Just done a bank check, grocery spends is slightly over already at £58.65/ £310 spent so far since the 2nd. Vinted money has cleared all bar £12 which is still pending, it’s been split 50/50 between cruise payment and York October savings.I have bought a couple of bits from vinted again with my personal spending money, I’ve got pretty much enough until it gets really cold, could do with another pair of jeans that are a bit more everyday ie. comfy and a nice quality chunky cardi perhaps. I’ve found so much good quality stuff I’m really pleased with nearly all of it, it’s a bit more old fashioned than I normally wear but comfy without being too scruffy, I’m at home a lot so usually live in old cheap tracksuit bottoms and fleeces and don’t wear the nicer stuff I have, so I’m sure the cats will enjoy me making more of an effort 😉MFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁6 -
Another day where I have time but not a lot of motivation 😳 Dh is again at work, I hoping to go to the cinema later with some of the kids to see 28 years later finally. Dd wants to go with her dh and SGD , ds2 wants to go as well but not sure if he wants to go the same time yet 🤣 Dd is keen on going to the cheaper noiser cinema , i and ds2 are not (and have passes for the nice one). However I asked dd a while ago and it’s her birthday in a few days so I’ll be doing what she prefers probably! She’s had her last day at work Friday so will now be free a lot more, hopefully I can do a few things with her this week 😊
I’ve some bits to take back to the shops today that I bought from my personal spends for holiday that were reduced but I’ve decided I don’t need them. I seriously think I have a shopping issue 🤔 I’ve got pretty much what I need from vinted now and bar these couple of bits I’ve only been buying second hand lately, but even so I think i need to rein it in. I’m sure it’s because I don’t feel so great now I’m a good stone maybe stone and a half heavier than I was before the operation. Perhaps I should focus on that for a bit, if I do end up losing weight I can resell the vinted stuff and buy in a smaller size in there.Right plan of action:
Message kids and find out todays cinema timings
Take back stuff when shop opens
prep dhs dinner incase I’m out when he gets home (hopefully he will come with us if it’s late)
pop to supermarket for bread and salad
bring in washing and do another load
see if there’s anything else to list on vinted, Sunday is the best day!MFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁5 -

Sorry, couldn't resist. I think you've talked about shopping as an issue before - from your diary musings it had seemed a bit of out control years ago but then you definitely reined it in with perhaps a little gentle teasing from us all, and were being more thoughtful about whether you needed something. I think at the beginning of the vinted phase due to the prices you maybe thought you were buying more than you needed but its always with the proviso that it can be sold again.
I think, maybe, could you have a think about what you enjoy about shopping, it used to be wandering the shopping centres with your pals or mum/aunts and finding things. Is it now about boredom scrolling/thinking its a bargain/the excitement of a parcel? Once dh stops (finally?) spending so much time working perhaps you'll be doing a bit more together so less time to fill?
Its not necessarily a problem problem though. Unless you're into the hoarder-passageways-through-your-house area or hiding the credit card bills from yourself each month then thats not the problem.
If you identify what the enjoyment is for you, decide on an amount a month, fully enjoy the experience of ordering/receiving/wandering or whatever it is, set yourself either a physical space in the wardrobe or a monetary amount each month, keep turning over the items so it doesn't start piling up on the floors etc then no harm done. Its certainly no worse a hobby than me buying material and craft items ive no genuine need for and then they sit for years. Thats my hobby, clothes are yours. If you both still drank like the old days, you'd probably never think to add up the cost of bottles of wine over the course of a year/decade. And that would all be disposable (money and liquid lol), no chance of selling that again, literally down the drain!

Well said Daisy, as always 👏
At the end of the day NG, you're MF now, so you can spend what you like, no judgement. But the title of your diary isn't "Pay off mortgage and start spending even more on Vinted"....Mortgage start: £65,495 (March 2016)
Cleared 🧚♀️🧚♀️🧚♀️!!! In 5 years, 1 month and 29 days
Total amount repaid: £72,307.03. £1.10 repaid for every £1.00 borrowed
Finally earning interest instead of paying it!!!5 -
Hi Daisy, I guess it’s a distraction at moment if I’m honest, I’ve had way more time than usual in the last year at home 🙄 plus puttting on weight doesn’t help you feeling your best, I’ve had to buy some new stuff. I do have lots of old stuff still and although I will keep some - favourite dresses and anything seasonal or very smart which doesn’t age badly, I’ve been pretty good at selling lately. I’ve considered the one in own out rule, it could be the way forward! Thank you ❤️
Hi sc, but couldn’t the diary be be called “pay off mortgage and start spending loads on vinted because it’s fun” 🤣
We finally saw 28 years later tonight, ds2 came under duress as he worried it would be too busy and he was right, three fools sat nearby eating popcorn noisily and whispering every now and then, ds2 has been waiting to see this film for five years since he first read it would be happening, he wasn’t happy. The film however was a belter and I sat next to DGD which is always a bonus! Collected ds2 and dil on the way and popped in to see their new rescue baby pigeon “dodo” he was found in the floor in the car park next to his sibling be eaten by crows, so she’s feeding him until his ok to release, he very much looks like a dodo hence the name 😆MFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁3 -
A close up of Dodo, one of many waifs and strays they have rescued and set free 🤣
