You do you and let others do as they wish. You aren't responsible for other people's actions. She wanted to gift, whether she got mixed up or just enjoys giving, its up to her. If you rush and do late presents this year it only muddies the water for next year. Put it out your mind 😃

Thanks Daisy 😊Well things are getting more stressful, dad has covid, so I was going to do Xmas. However little brother is still going to mum and dads (not sure why!) mums sister and dh have cancelled -which I’m pretty annoyed about, so it’s just dh and I and great aunt left (-the one who had a fall out with mum for most of the year) unsure what to do now 😩
That aside we have just had a great evening with the kids, dd and dh and step dgd have only just left, the house I spent all day cleaning looks like a bomb site again though , looks like we had a party for fifty not a dinner for 9 😂MFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁5 -
I feel hungover without any drinking 😂 house clean again, dh and I were thinking of going for dinner tonight in the week but no way, I just want my bed! Off to collect mums M&S order at 7pm at doorstep drop it 😩
Ds1 off for a week soon 🥲 ds2 off round dd’s to hangout with spouses tonight, no cooking for me as we got a mc takeaway for lunch, we never do that but I fancied it for a Xmas treat in front of the new Indiana jones film, it was not very nice though, should have made a sandwich 😆

The whole house seems to have got up far too early today, ds2 is making feta and spinach “sausage” rolls to take to his Nan in laws where they are going this afternoon until Xmas night. In an hour we are off to my mil’s for breakfast, hopefully it’s something relatively breakfast like food wise, but she has been know to make some odd concoctions 😆
After that it’s Wonka at the cinema with our passes which I’m very much looking forward to! No food or drink spending of course will take my own tea 🙂
Then home with dh to spend Xmas night and wake up together alone for the first time since I was 22, it will be very strange! I hope everyone has a nice happy Xmas, thoughts go out to those for which xmas is a reminder of those they have lost ❤️MFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁4 -

Thanks for all the good wishes, I hope everyone had a lovely day 🙂
Ours was quieter but still ok, went to the in-laws for lunch and took most of it with me 😆 didn’t stay too long, back home for an hour then round dd’s to meet them and take lots of snacks to watch dr who (to be eaten afterwards, no noise allowed during 😂) they hadn’t had time to open their presents so we got to watch them and all (ds2 and wife we’re there too and DGD) whch was great. Ate lots then dropped step DGD home about 11pm.Had some nice Xmas presents, including a brand new hetty the hoover from my parents, ours was on her last legs so I’m very happy with that and will give it a go today. We have dd and hubby round later but no cooking today except a turkey so we can make turkey sandwiches later. We got £200 in cash between us from both sets of parents which with the money I have already saved is enough to pay for the soda package on our April cruise, very handy!DD’s was ecstatic with her vinted second and homemade dr who dress I bought (for about £8 if I remember rightly) made from the same curtains she had in her bedroom as a girl, best dress she’s ever had in her life apparently , even her wedding dress 😂 so that was big success! I did manage to reduce our spending a couple of years ago, now we do secret Santa for my extended family (parents and grandparents get an exception so we can still buy 😬) and I even reduced buying for our kids and partners so they all the the same amount now , it’s just easier. However this year strangely we have been given presents by new people, son and daughter in laws sister bought for us both (so I did a quick bag of gifts) and their step dad also sent over a bag of gifts 😱 plus friend who spent on the kids unexpectedly spent way more then usual on me too.I might need to re jig the list, not to match what they have done so much but maybe allow for a few tins of posh biscuits or something to cover this type of thing, for the in-law family anyway I guess.MFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁4
