Chanie,
I feel your pain, I did find it funny though that she assumed she had woken you up. Enjoy your day in the office, all fabbed up and your trip to the shops. I hope you find a great bargain or two4 -
I do the same thing Chanie. Dressing gowns are so cosy. I was saying to my husband yesterday that I wish you could wear them in public!
Yesterday we had an electrician at our house who switched off the power and he took longer than he said so I had to go to a cafe and then walk around the park for a while. I then went to look at some boots I saw in a charity shop a few days ago and then ended up buying a few things. I also found some slipper boots and a (men's) dressing gown for me (!) in there. We went out to eat again but it was buy one meal and get one free and also they messed up my husband's order so he got a free burger to take home in a carton. I am heating it up now for my breakfast, haha.
I was quite cold when I got home so I took off my clothes and put on my dressing gown instead to watch the film. Lol. We tested the heating and put up the door curtains too ready for winter.5 -
That coat looks lovely, Maman - I need something similar (but cheaper!) for dog walking as I had to ditch my old coat for that purpose a few months back after it finally began disintegrating!
Chanie/Wednesday - I'm the opposite, lol, I'd wear almost anything indoors rather than a dressing gown and get annoyed with DH on the rare occasion he puts his on to come downstairs and relax in during the colder weather 😆🙄
On the subject of dressing gowns though, I've been doing some more Christmas shopping and bought DS a boho silk kimono on Etsy as well as a 'coffee table' type book on fabulous gardens in Homesense that was reduced from £30 to £10 😀
I also got us a new Christmas tree skirt as our old one is damaged. The replacement was £27.99 with a retail price of a somewhat ridiculous £83.99, which I wouldn't have paid in a million years!
To ensure we've sufficient, in Homesense I also stocked up on Christmas wrapping paper and tags plus a few arty (blank) birthday cards which I like to keep a supply of 😉
A massive new(ish) charity shop had recently opened that I'd not been into previously so I had a quick scoot around, looking specifically at knitwear and coats but sadly it was full of mainly poor quality tat, so I bought nothing. Instead I found a nice slightly sparkly dark blue fine knit jumper for layering in TK (£16.99, RRP £41.99) which came home with me 🙂
Today I'm painting windows again (insides) in an effort to get a few spaces finished and fabbed before the festive season!

You are starting early. It isn't even Halloween yet.🤔🤣
I bought this men's dressing gown. I saw it and immediately thought of my Grandad as he had something similar to wear in the house as my grandparents used to babysit me a lot when I was young. Their house reminded me a bit of my new house as it must be the same era. My husband saw it and said he used to have a dressing gown like that in the 70s. I said it must be vintage.Good quality.

Thanks Liberty Lily.:)
We just paid for our cremations! Lol. I called them as I didn't get an email, but my husband did to say they had received his form and he sent the forms from the same post office but it turned out they got my email address wrong. That has happened before as people think it is an "i" at the start rather than "l". We went with Pure Cremations. I think it is my MIL dying 9that we ended up paying for as she hadn't made any provision for herself) and two of my uncles died last Christmas so I thought we should be prepared for the inevitable whenever it happens.
We started The Watcher last night. The Watcher review – Ryan Murphy serves up a seven-hour whodunnit about a typewriter | Television | The Guardian
I am off out to the Black History music quiz tonight. We are seeing the new Halloween film first although I haven't read good reviews.

Hello Ladies,
I went to Andover yesterday to celebrate my granddaughters C's 16th birthday and D's 17th birthday. My elder daughter cooked a feast for all of us. We had so much fun together, including my 2 Great-grandchildren.
My Great-granddaughter has grown and developed so much personality even though she is only 3 and a half months old.
