sugarbaby125 said:Hello Ladies,
Today I finally watched Prima Facie. Jodie Comer has always been one of my favourite female actors, but after watching her performance in this play, I have a new found respect for her talents.
She was so superb. It was the tone and nuances of all of the 'voices' of each of the characters, that she portrayed not just that of the central character Tessa. I was moved to tears at times. Jodie completely carried me away with her bravura performance. She was astounding in her breadth and depth of talent. This play was a 10/10 for me.
I used £6 of my Tesco Clubcard vouchers to buy an £18 Picturehouse voucher and booked my ticket online for a total of £18.20 including the 70p booking fee.
I was running late, so it was a good job I already had my ticket to hand and did not need to purchase it at The Ritzy. I did not miss a second of the play.2021 Decluttering Awards: ⭐⭐🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇 2022 Decluttering Awards: 🥇

I have not been in a good mood either Helen! I'm glad to read you are back to your best.:) This heat has been hideous! ((Hugs)) with the fibro pain.
I have been in a lot of pain with my injured shoulder and my mother-in-law has also died. She went into hospital with multiple cancers just as we moved house a few months ago, weirdly, and then she died last week. We were not close personally but it has been very stressful as she was the type of person who didn't even consider sorting out her affairs before her death so family members have been trying to arrange what happens next.
I did send off for some info from a cremation service just before we moved here, but I am going to look at it properly this week as I want mine and my husband's deaths to be planned for and paid for so this will never happen to anyone we leave behind. It sounds morbid I know as I'm only 46 but this is something everyone needs to think about, unfortunately. My husband's brush with cancer has made me think a lot about death.
On the fabbing front *sigh* I am at least getting a pedicure and my toenails painted this week and I have booked a restaurant at the weekend too. That at least will be a nice day out for me with my brother and his girlfriend. I have bought a couple of "new" chazzer dresses so I may wear one of them out.:)

Helen, it is so good to see you posting once again on both of the threads.
I am sorry that you were having such a difficult time, but happy to know that you have survived and feel like you are getting your mojo back again.4 -
Wednesday, condolences on the loss of your mother in law.
I hope your shoulder will completely heal and become pain free soon.4 -
@helensbiggestfanit’s good to have you back. How are things going with the move?
@Wednesday2000 sorry to hear about your MIL.

Hi Wednesday. Sorry to hear about your MIL. You are not being morbid. It's a good idea to get organised. After dealing with my husbands and both my parents estates I set to and starting putting my affairs in order. I haven't made a funeral plan but I have done my will. POA and an advance directive. I did feel better knowing it was all done.Hope the shoulder improves soon. Tbh mine is bad too. Fibro and arthritis is not great at all at the moment. Need to try and book a massage. Im stretching and using my massage gizmos every day. They're ok but not as good as a proper massage. I should see some improvement soon, especially if I manage to lose some weight.Re house move. Received Draft contract yesterday. All signed and witnessed ready to post back today. Need to chase EA, they aren't exactly forthcoming with the updates. It's just a waiting game at the moment. It's always the case, months of waiting and then a last minute scramble. Until I have an idea of dates there's not much I can do yet. I will book a skip soon and start looking at removal companies.6

Thank you ladies.xxx
I'm glad things are proceeding with the house move, Helen.
I was talking with my in-law (in her 60's) yesterday as she is one of the siblings arranging the funeral for her mother. They have a problem with power of attorney and getting the burial plot authorised. I said we were thinking of sorting out ourselves with paying for our cremations now and I asked her if she had made arrangements as she is a single mother so it would be left to her son to arrange her funeral. She said "Oh no, I'm not planning on checking out yet", I said that was the point so she didn't leave him in the same position that she is in now.

Condolences to you and your DH @Wednesday2000. I know you said you weren't close but it's still a difficult time for family.
You sound like you're coming out of the end of a hard few weeks @helensbiggestfan. Good on you! 🤗
Are you decorating the whole house @chanie? I'm full of admiration, especially as you've done it all through the heatwave.
I'm another that loves reading about your theatre going @sugarbaby125. You've had some incredible bargains too considering the normal price of tickets.
I'm happily plodding on. All my fabbing habits have stuck, thanks to this thread. I visited my brother and his family a couple of weeks ago for the first time since Covid and I felt a million dollars. I would have hated it if my family thought I'd let myself go through the lockdowns. Last Saturday was our wedding anniversary and I was able to wear my strappy Zara dress when we went out to eat.

I've had my hair cut and my eyebrows done in the last couple of weeks and this week I gave myself a manicure. I'm walking and dancing fairly regularly so keeping fit. I've been working on my posture this week too as if I'm not careful I can have back problems. Normally I'd put a hot water bottle on it to ease the pain but not at the moment! 🤣 I did buy a heated throw this week and it was delivered today. I reckoned that it was better to get one now rather than find them out of stock later in the year. I'm hoping it will help me save a bit on heating costs.
Back soon.😊5 -
@ maman it’s lovely that your fabbing habits are ingrained. Your dress is very pretty and I’m sure you looked lovely in it.
In answer to your question, yes, we are decorating the whole house. In addition to our loft, we also had the chimney breasts removed from 4 rooms, so that’s pretty much the whole house needs redecorating 🤣. We’ve always decorated ourselves, but one room at a time, so this feels never ending. Unfortunately, we can’t afford to get someone in to decorate, so we just have to crack on.4
