Frump to Fab 2022 - The Big One

I am trying to improve my thinking at the moment to gain some control so I am fabbing my mind. When I have a bit more control on the go I will quietly improve my outside self. But.... I have painted my toe nails a lovely dark, dark burgundy, have plucked some wayward eyebrows and have been trying to lose weight, and it seemed to be working, slowly though but that is fine. I have also been improving my business, overall the fabbing is feeling great!*Stop giving up what you really want for what you want now*
*Face your fear, don't do what's easy, do what is right, fight for it because it will be worth it*

@Wednesday2000 i have missed you and was hoping you are okay. What crappy news about your chain! Hopefully you’ll quickly get back on track.@i@Its_time great progress with your fabbing.
work is slowly picking up for me and I’m enjoying being home based. I’m less tired as I don’t have to commute into Central London, plus I’m not spending money as I’m at home.
When I had some quiet time, I took the opportunity to wax my legs, in between salon visits and tomorrow I’ll paint my toe nails.6 -
Hey Chanie. My friend from uni called me last night and I said I need a holiday after the house move goes through as it has been so sressful. Luckily she lives in Barbados, lol, so I'm seriously thinking about going to see her later this year.
I need to get my passport renewed, that was another thing on my to-do list from 2020 that didn't get done!
The estate agents haven't got back to us about viewing the other houses this weekend, it's weird as last year they seemed very keen to help.
I think I will do my nails red tomorrow to match my coat. I'm just happy to be dropping my pets off at the kennel and having a nice day out even if we don't see any houses.

Good morning lovely ladies.Wednesday - good to see you posting again. 🤞things pick up soon for you.it'stime you are so right, it all starts with our brains. Get our heads in the right place and the rest follows. I see it a bit like rebooting a computer. We have to reprogram our brains, filter out all the negative crap and feed it positive thoughts. Thoughts determine our actions and it is our actions which get results.Chanie.....glad to hear you are enjoying working from home. Commuting into central London every day can't have been much fun.....tiring and time consuming.Well I have been busy, cleaning, decluttering and organising. Plenty more to do.Especially as...........I have booked some estate agent valuations in a couple of weeks tome.Watch this space. 😂.I am so excited at the thought of moving this year, can't wait to get the ball rolling.Fab wise, today I shall give myself a facial, tidy my eyebrows. Did a mini manicure yesterday. Message booked for next week. Have started some daily yoga. It's hard work, I m so stiff. I really need to work on that. A little every day, gradually building up again.Have a great weekend y'all. ❤️9

Sorry to hear you had a miserable Christmas and New Year Wednesday - I do hope you get your chain sorted out soon and find a new buyer.
Exciting times ahead for you LL - hope you find the home of your dreams.
Last night I pampered my nails - trimmed and filed them then applied cuticle oil and hand cream. Tonight will be face and eye masks and maybe paint my nails although I was thinking about giving them a bit of a rest from polish for a while.
Still need to work on the yoga side of things as I tried the beginners routine and have found my flexibility is not the best 😱. I will stick with it and hope this improves.
Need to make a hair appointment soon as I have been growing out a short style and it definitely needs a tidy-up now - I think I am two-thirds of the way to the new length I want.
Have a lovely Sunday everyone 😀

Sorry to hear your house move is proving a headache @Wednesday2000. I'm sure it will all work out but it's traumatic while it's happening. Hope you had a good day at the coast to cheer you up.
Exciting news about your proposed move @helensbiggestfan. I'll be interested to follow your progress. 😊
I was interested in your outfit when you went for that birthday dinner @sugarbaby125. You're so right that we have to keep the venue in mind when dressing for an occasion and I've found it even more so as places have to maintain good ventilation. I was out dancing last night but I wore thick tights under my floaty skirt and a sparkly top which is really an adapted thermal vest! 🤣 I bought it a year or so back when I knew I was going to a draughty restaurant. I hemmed the neckline by hand to make it a bit lower but mainly to hide the cheap looking zig-zag stitching. To be honest, these days I think thermal tops are much smarter and sold for layering rather than the old fashioned lacy underwear that they used to be.
I'm keeping up with the fabbing too. I went for a pedicure this week and was pleased with how good my skin is. My eyebrows are starting to look a bit scruffy so I'll need to do a quick tidy before my next waxing/tinting appointment. I think in future I might have them done a bit more frequently.
I need to renew my passport too @Wednesday. No plans to go abroad until June but it now has less than 6 months left and there have been delays. I'll make that a priority to do this week. I think it can be done online which should help. 🤔
Its a glorious day here today, really crisp and sunny. It's such a lift to see the sun shining. 😁5 -
The open house last weekend has got us four offers so far.:) Good news, I suppose. Two of them were higher than the one last year but we haven't accepted one yet.
We are having more people to view our house today and the rest of the week. My husband was on nights last night so I've only just got up so I'm having to rush around and clean now.
We didn't see any new houses last weekend but we did walk around the area a bit more and then went for pizza and to see a film. We went back to our local area and went to a pub to meet some people I met last year.
I was shocked at how out of shape I am. I didn't say on here but I got a cracked rib in early December so I haven't even been able to do my normal daily walks for weeks. On Saturday we must have done at least 15,000 steps and my thighs were killing me the past few days! I overdid it at the pub afterwards too.
I have been doing quite a lot of fabbing as I thought I would have the rest of January a "dry" January so I have been having lots of hot baths and using my skin care products. I'm going to order some magnesium salt flakes for the bath in a minute as they are a natural way to help you sleep.
It is stressful having to go through this house showing process again. We just waited in the garden a few times with our pets when people were viewing the house as we know having pets in the house puts people off. It was a bit different as it was summer last time we were standing out there and now it's winter!
I'm going to order these bath salts and then do some more cleaning. I'm listening to Classic FM to try and relax me. I might look for a few more pampering things on Amazon too.2025 GOALS

It's looking positive Wednesday. 🤞. These things have a habit of coming right in the end. You're right moving can be very stressful so just look after yourself. Try not to worry. You'll find your dream house.Well I'm having a disastrous time......first my lighting circuit blew. Fortunately the sockets are ok and I've got plenty of table lamps. Then blow me my central heating packed up, the pump apparently. Luckily I am coping ok with a combination of open fireplaces to burn coal and wood, a calor gas heater which can be wheeled from room to room and an oiled filled radiator. Plus an electric blanket on my bed and an electric throw for the sofa. Wearing extra layers, looking like the Michelin man. 😂Heating engineer and electrician coming Friday so hopefully I'll be back in business soon. Also car mot due Saturday. Looks like January might be an expensive month. 😞😂
The colder house means my fibro has been playing up so I too am feeling rather unfit and unhealthy. I have just been out for a walk but it was hard going. My limbs ache and I feel so stiff. I did at least manage to give myself a mini skin peel and a mini manicure today. Not much but better than nothing.Hey ho.....roll on spring. It was nice to see some sunshine today. A foretaste of what's to come. Not long now. Can't believe how quickly January has whizzed by.
keep fabbing.
ps watched a good film last night on Netflix called Greed. Starring Steve Coogan. It's a black comedy which is really a thinly veiled swipe at Phillip Green. It takes a good look at the dark underbelly of the fashion industry, capitalism and tax avoidance. Some very sobering statistics are quoted at the end as the final credits roll.Makes me more determined than ever to ditch not only the obvious fast fashion outlets but tbh even most of so called top end of the high street. It seems no one comes out smelling of roses, not even the high end designers. They all use the same factories and it's a race to the bottom to improve profits.I honestly don't know the answer, I don't see this vicious circle ending any time soon. I think all we can do is to take better care of the clothes we do have and not buy as much disposable fashion.I am going to try and do it by buying pre loved and vintage. I'm even thinking of taking up sewing again, at least for a few simple pieces. Then I might look for a good seamstress to make anything I'm not capable of making myself.I used to be quite good at sewing but having sons I got out of the habit and I am very rusty. I'm thinking of going to sewing classes after I have moved. Assuming my arthritis improves. My fingers aren't as nimble as they used to be. Lol.7
